Shenmue is super dated, it would be a really dull game today.

I agree the whole franchise would have to be rebooted.

For weeks now I've been trying to find out what this game is.

There's a fellow going around in the insider circle (he's not Shinobi, Mortimer, etc), but he's managed to contact a few of us and tell us unilaterally the exact same information.

He spoke briefly about Microsoft's E3 event and spoke highly of it. He cut straight to the point and said Microsoft has secured a third party exclusive that- "Will make people GNASH teeth".

He wouldn't speak any more about the game.I only got one conversation in with him. I did manage to ask a few questions: Is it Resident Evil? Is it Mass Effect? Is it Red Dead?

"No. It's not them."

The last clues given were:

A. It is an IP that is off the radars, but when everyone hears and sees it, they'll want it.
B. It is an IP that could use the spotlight of exclusivity.

Second part is Dragon's Dogma 2. People have been rumoring both out loud and privately about Dragon's Dogma 2 shopping around for the last month and a half. I don't know if it's true, but it's almost always the first thing people want to talk about when I began fishing for E3 news.

Final part is this, Prince of Persia, according to some, was shown off to journalists at E3 2012, the same E3 Watch_Dogs was shown at. This specific game is a next-gen title and not the 2D game everyone is talking about- at least from what I understand.

Yeah both Thuway and Shinobi are back on Gaf. I just can't think of what the game is but from what he says it's looks like it's not a new IP, what would be big enought to make people freak out? Kotor/Fallout/Shenmue?

i think its an old ip since he said its off the radar and  would benfit from being exclusive
