Anybody getting the XBO this month? After talking it over with my friends, I decided to get one next year - probably after I get the PS4 and Wii U. MS has impressed me and I sense they mean business. This will be the first gen I own all the major consoles since last gen (DC, PS2, GC and Xbox).

I'll be getting it on 2015, when I have money xD

In the meantime, I have enough games, backlog, and upcoming games to keep me engaged. 2014 and still both the Ps3 and the 360 are getting games!

If you put away $50 a month starting January you'd have enough to buy one when Halo 5 comes out!!!

Thing is, I put away 100 euros (like $112) each month in order to meet the deadline of my university (somewhere along 900-1000 euros) in case the Goverment decides to not give me some kind of aid. They did it last year, and I burned all my savings just for the University. I can't just do anything until I can pay the debts.

So by 2015, I'm pretty sure I'll have enough money for both the University and the games :P Though, I'm purchasing Day One Dead Rising 3. The store will give me a cool shirt because of it!

Dead rising previews looking amazing, almost every preview state tht it holds frame rate very good. Wish DF has not the retail build which they tested.
"This preview states some of the graphics glitches but still praise frame rates.
There were points in my time with the game, as well as when watching others play, that the game’s high-res textures seemed to be pretty much refusing to load in, leaving signs and the sides of buildings looking blurry and incomprehensible. While keeping a seemingly solid frame-rate is certainly impressive in the context of the game, it doesn’t mean that it can get away with these kind of graphical issues. Hopefully the final build of the game that makes its way to consumers has these issues resolved, as they really do detract from the overall experience."

other preview : "I first noticed how smooth the game ran. Running at 30 frames-per-second at 720p, although not the 1080p and 60fps wanted by a lot of the community on all titles this coming gen, it still looked great and ran seamlessly. Other outlets have reported that during their plays the frame rate has been a little up and down, but for me there was no noticeable fluctuation. Although, it is worth taking into account that I was playing a controlled demo; that had a short time limit and no objectives. It just showed the sandbox style of game play; which in itself was incredibly enjoyable."

Microsoft working on F2P Xbox One game based on "successful" first party IP

http://www.oxm.co.uk/66119/microsoft-working-on-free-to-play-aaa-xbox-game-based-on-successful-first-party-ip/

Microsoft Studios appears to have another bun in the oven, as per a vacancy for a Technical Producer spotted by Dualshockers. The publisher is in the market for a free-to-play expert to work on a new first party free-to-play game, seemingly for Xbox.

The luckiest candidate will "drive the future of gaming through a hybrid of AAA quality games and service-based experiences, technology, and business models", working with "external game developers and an internal team of cross-discipline employees in Microsoft's Xbox organization".

Downloadable Xbox One games have 1000 Gamerscore

Download-only Xbox One games contain 1000 Gamerscore, the same amount as full retail releases.

A list of Halo: Spartan Assault's Achievements (posted by X360A) confirmed the change. The download-only game is listed with the full 1000G for its Xbox One port, while the upcoming Xbox 360 version has the old 400G limit for Arcade titles.

PopCap recently confirmed via Twitter that its download-only title Peggle 2 would also include 1000G.

Microsoft has previously said there will be no distinction between downloadable and retail games on Xbox One. There is no Xbox Live Arcade brand for the console, and all games will be available for download through one market interface.

Full Xbox titles have always had a base 1000G limit and then a 250G limit for each successive DLC pack. XBLA has a recently-boosted 400G, with 100G for each DLC. Windows 8 games on PC, phone and tablet have a 200G limit, with 50G for each DLC
