Noble yeah sell the ps4 and buy a Nokia Lumia 1820 or 1525 :p
buying XBox one and PS4 is like gay marriage.... I have nothing against it but I don't swing that way LOL I tease I tease...

anyway JoeMYbro :p (on fire here) I don't know what to expect with AR if they exist... While having one of each in the market will be interesting, I feel like it will be that much more complicated for 3rd parties to make use of it or at least both at the same time...
then while others. Have a good idea where the VR tech is at right now at a decent price point I have ne clue where AR seats at...
but granted it has decent tracking capabilities especially paired with Kinect I can see it used for what shika said... Maybe although not exactly like illumiroom, but maybe get your HUD out of the screen, effect enhancement (more light during explosions etc) maybe some kind of smart glass interaction/enhancement (fake holographic display on the phone)
stuff like showing you an highlighted road on AR in GTA likes instead of having to peak at the radar in the corner...
some nifty effects in horror games, ie see a ghost between the screen and yourself, all kind of cool stuff.. Activate IR glasses through the AR glasses by pressing on a button on it instead of some mapped button on the pad...
maybe give you props on your hands while playing Kinect games (ie if you look down in KSR you actually see a wave racer handle bar, a tennis racket, a bowling ball, a gun etc...)
well tones of fun, experience enhancing stuff....

That'd be cool if Microsoft went with AR for the XBONE instead of VR. Since the two are pretty far apart with what they do, it'll be great having two unique technologies with unique games.

Assuming AR really is coming, what would you want from it? Specs, game elements, price, etc.

I'm hoping that Fortaleza AR glasses, if Microsoft does indeed make them, will have similar functionality to Illumiroom (FOV extension, light effects, etc.) at a cheaper price (since they said Illumiroom would cost too much to market). Maybe $300, not even sure if that price point is possible though considering how expensive Google Glass is. If that's not possible I'd be happy if they manage to get the price of Illumiroom down to $350 or less.

Google glass is a really niche device right now, and is severely lacking for what AR game glasses would need. Just like the $1,000 Sony HMZ, I think using it's price to predict these gaming headsets is kinda silly.

Just a basic illumniroom like expansion would work nice for all games, similar to putting ui elements on the Wii U gamepad. AR could really take the smartglass features and make them more accessible during actual gameplay.

Needing to support two different devices will certainly cause problems for games built from the ground up to utilize AR or VR, but shoehorning features into existing games or making AR VR cross games shouldn't be too hard. Last gen we somehow managed with wii, move, kinect, and the traditional gamepad. There were some support issues but I think it still worked out. As long as AR and VR catch the public's attention like Wiimotion and Kinect did (sorry move ) I think support won't be an issue.

Man move was the only thing that almost got me to actually buy my first PlayStation ever... What a bunch of scousers at Sony... I was addicted to that disc golf game at my friends house...

Btw where did they see ACIV BF at 30 bucks ??? I just checked on Xbox.com it is still 59.99

Finally i beat Tales of Vesperia xD

" So far this generation is off to a slower start."

Xbox One and PS4 are off to the fastest starts of all time.  WiiU is the only one that didnt get off to that super fast start.

What were overall thoughts on Tales of Vesperia Jay? You going to review it?
