Microsoft: Expect More 1080p Games on Xbox One in the Future

Sub Headline: Sniper Elite 3 developer made similar claims last month.

Xbox One owners will see more native 1080p resolution games in the future, according to Boyd Multerer, director of development for Xbox.

Speaking to Xbox: The Official Magazine, Multerer explained it's just a matter of time until game creators optimize development for Xbox One. "I fully expect [more 1080p games] to happen," he said. "The [graphics processing units] are really complicated beasts this time around."

Multerer also commented on launch titles for Xbox One, pointing out that developers didn't have the time to fully explore the capabilities of the console. But they will, he claimed. "The hardware is basically baked, and what comes next is people discovering better software techniques to take advantage of it, especially in the ordering of the data so it flows through all the caches correctly, and I think there's a lot of opportunity there," said Multerer.

These expectations line up with what the senior producer of Sniper Elite 3 discussed last month when talking about game resolution differences between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. "They are releasing a new SDK that’s much faster, and we will be comfortably running at 1080p on Xbox One," said Jean-Baptiste Bolcato. "We were worried six months ago and we are not anymore, it’s got better and they are quite comparable machines."

In the meantime, Microsoft recently announced a new update for Xbox One coming out in April, and 25 new indie games were just revealed for the system.

Condition is more worse in India though my country is not as big in gaming as uk or us but we occassionally see ps ads and sony events happening here and there but microsoft man no their is not even a single ad or a single promotion except a titanfall event coming on 22nd MArch that to not sponsored by microsoft.

I wanted to do a killer instinct tournament on VGC not too long ago with streaming or recording clips. But every time i try and set something up on VGC it never falls through.  We got a halo game going one time in this thread and a gears horde mode, but nobody ever really signed up for anything else so i gave up on the Xbox Live Weekends.

Jay if it is related to halo or gears then sign me in always until and unless I have exams.

That why they should put MS office on XBox one... We could use outlook calendar with our MS profile to set up tournaments and all :)
with reminders, RSVPs etc etc.... Have it sync with our PCs and windows phone... You know cause gaming is serious business...

Really I haven't tried it for a while on,Xbox one but at launch it was faster than the MUI version of IE on my PC... I have found Firefox horribly heavy and slow for while now... And I can't stand chrome and anything google really... They entered the 90's disgusting MS phase equivalent for me....
I'm fine with IE11 on my w8.1 PC... And waiting for opera to do something nice on win8.1 as my backup... I do have Firefox right now but it's just when something doesn't work or is not optimized for IE11...

but yeah I could use some office product on my XBox... Just being able to open docs on the screen.., working on a 50" excel spread sheet would be nice after being stuck on a PC screen all day...

God damnit does nobody ever notify me about AUR anymore -_-
