Both of these games seem kind of interestingt to me. They both look like clones of Diablo 3, and there both on sale on steam right now

so what are the main differences between the two and most of all which one is better.

Magicka is different its not an RPG at all its more an adventure game which is sarcastic and making fun of other games like ZELDA or movies like RAMBO etc.
You dont level you just "find"  new spells and then you can mix different spells like ice and water etc.
Its chaotic and alot of fun.


Torchlight 2 is basically a better Diablo game with comic art-style.


Both are great games buy both but be sure to play at least Magicka in coop! (its not that great alone because half the fun is accidently killing your friend xD)

Fixed. There is no such thing as "accidently killing your friends" in Magicka. Only a brutal fight for survival with the loser suffering from an endless torture with Arcane mines :P

I wouldn't put magicka in the same sub-genre. It plays completely different.

When it comes to Diablo 3 vs Torchlight...well for end game il give it to Diablo 3. I think it has deeper mechanics etc.

Torchlight is fun but it lacks a significant end game as far I'm aware.

Theres also a little nice ARPG called Path of Exile which you might want to try

Haven't played Magicka, but Torchlight 2 is a lot of fun. It's exactly what it looks like, a Diablo clone without all the annoyances. That makes sense, of course, as two of the founders of Runic Gamers were also co-founders of Blizzard North.
