Forums - Sony - TechRadar: Sony's XPERIA TABLET Z is the best TABLET on the market

I wouldnt say its the best tablet on the market...but its up there with the best of them.

Im waiting for Sony to bring their omnibalance design to their windows products. Id love to have a super thin windows 8 tablet. The current windows tablets/laptop hybrids are crappy (design wise) for the most part.

Android is still lagging behind iOS in terms of tablets. Maybe in terms of hardware its the best.

wow it's been a while since sony has had the best of anything. Good for them!

their TVs are also the best; but more expensive that is.

Maybe 10 years ago... Panasonic Plasmas and Samsung LEDs mop the floor with Sony these days.

I have a top tier Sony LED TV; my Brother bought for him a top tier Samsung LED TV; and so we wanted to do split-screen "like a boss" and so I took my TV to his house; and the Sony TV raped the Samsung TV.  The colors are more vibrant; and the games look sharper.  I tried to to configure his TV so that it looked similar; but nope; Sony TV performance is better.  Also the Sony TV have a function that makes games more fluid.  And that is why they are also more expensive.

I really dont know from where you take that statement from.

Sorry i guess I meant to say Samsung and Panasonic Plasmas have the best picture quality.

Regardless if you go through all those categories, rarely do you see Sony anywhere at the top.

Can anyone tell me what the purpose of a tablet is?

Really? Tablets are some of the best products to own if you have a private business or are an artist. You create swipe transactions with your tablet and use non disc based applications. Tablets are on the war path to replacing laptops.

Well then this explains why I don't have/need one lol.

I was thinking the same. Then I got an Ipad 4 because it was half the price, the store was celebrating their 10 years or something like that. After using it for some time, I changed my mind, it is the best form factor to browse the web, watching videos etc. They are not meant for serious work, but they are best at what they do, I think so at least. Though I'll admit, ios is a pain in the ass so I am considering an Android tablet.

Great product, I agree with the op. Certain responses in this thread are pretty much expected though.

Panasonic plasmas? lol

I'm not really into tablets. I got an ipad as a gift, but I rarely use it. My phone does most of the things I want just as well except for browsing.
