I'd sell it. It's not like you can't get one in 2014 with all the games you're interested in at a cheaper price. I'm not really interested in anything at launch except for Watch Dogs, and after watching the GTA5 gameplay trailer just recently, I'm far more interested in that and it's going to be on a console I already own.

Just sell it then in 2014 when Infamous Second Son and The Division come out, get another PS4 along with those games, and whatever else you're interested in.

Yeah I may even ask for Killzone and Knack for Christmas. I'm also interested in Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4 but will need to pace my shooters out and if AC is any indication Watch Dogs will go down fast. Waiting till January to pick those up (I'm not getting choppy, scaled down PS3 versions of those 2 games) will be a good option.

I agree about current gen. The new Ratchet (FINALLY getting back to ACiT style!) just killed my launch fever lol. That, GTA5, Saints Row 4, Batman, Puppeteer, KH HD, Beyond, and the free plus games I'll get on PS3 this Fall will keep me plenty busy and I'll be able to get a couple on BF.

Gamestop still has ps4's for pre order. The only reason i pre ordered one is to list it on ebay.

Anyone been in this situation before and which decision did you make? Did you sell or keep? Did you regret your decision or were you happy at the end? When is the best time to sell a preorder profit wise?

EDIT: I am being patient and I do really want it at launch so I'll start my bidding at $1000 a couple weeks before launch and see if I get any bites. If no one bids then I'll keep it and enjoy KZ and Knack on launch day. If they do then I'll enjoy all the awesome PS3 titles coming this holiday (see first post on page 2).

People on eBay were paying as much as $6,000 for the PS3 at release. Two weeks later, they were in all the stores. The only system I've ever seen sold out for a long periods of time was the Wii and I've bought all the systems within a month of release without a pre-order. Sadly, a large number of the pre-orders are to people who just plan on trying to sell them for more.

The PS4 and Xbox One will be the first system that I don't buy in the launch window. There are way too many great games out that I still don't have any many great games still coming out for the currently available systems. I'd rather buy 12 great games than spend the money on a new system, accessories and a couple of games that give a small graphical bump.

I am a true gamer, i have all current consoles and will buy all next gen. Not intrested in ps4 right now since i only liked 1 game they showed (infamous) but its not enough to warrant a purchase.
