400k is over 5 weeks of sales shipments so probably a little overtracked since Retailers like to keep shipments for the next 6-12 weeks for the 360.

hmmm we have a bullish MS.... let them drop it at -15% 17% buy buy buy.... gonna be a good cash cow in the years to come..... people stayed with google jeez those tards didn't learn anything with apple.... too bad I don't have more liquidities right now there is some cash to be made in the tech sector.... but some will lose their heads ridding on trends instead of hard numbers.... search the alpha :D

Safe investment??? You must have loved msft's recent "lost decade" where the year over year price gains were basically zero

Bc, even if the stocks return is effectively zero, you still lost money bc the inflation rate is higher

MSFT pays dividends.... so I'd take a stable stock that pays dividend, over any floating stock that don't pay anything.... but it's not as clear cut as that anyway... you don't do stock investment on the simple historical track record of the stock variation.... that would be way too easy to find the winning horse otherwise.... and it also depends how you want to handle your portfolio(s)
do you want to do day trading

mid term investments with high risks, high returns or high loss (2-5 years)

or long term investments (10-30) with less risks less returns or lots, depends a on many things....

or a mix of all three... and more

then you don't buy just one stock if you are smart and have the capital you spread risk over dozens or hundreds of companies over dozens or hundreds of different sectors and if you can different market... to reduce your risk.... but in short and with few words, with a diversified portfolio and the right capital you can hope for 3% a year of minimal gain with almost no risk.... (Almost because you always have some)

so yeah all in all MSFT stock is a quiet safe investment long term..... and can be a great cash cow short term.... but then again a lot of it is opinion based in that business.... but based on hard facts and what you expect to hold true in the future.... it's a great science actually.... I miss my grad student days when we were in the NYSE simulation room with all those graphs and quotation flashing on all screens.... it's better than the horse track or poker nights and way more intellectually rewarding :D

then again I don't really care how I look on a gaming forum not even in my native language. I have typed like that on the internet since way before I finished High school. it's not like I'm doing a full graded scholar report or a professional one. I get rewarded or paid to do the effort in those cases :P

Oh come on, why the ban hammer? I did not report him (as a matter of fact I never report anything unless it is really bad or close to illegal) It is not as if he was over the top, I am not 10 years old, I can take criticism and survive it. Especially when the guy has a point. My writing on forums is usually of very poor quality since I do not make any effort what so ever.

It is sad to see such a level of moderating is needed, I got the ban hammer several times for supposedly attacking a fan base or flaming in general. But do we need that level of control? I mean are we that childish that we can not take a hit from time to time? Even in kindergarten, I am not sure we had that much surveillance on the playground. It is just a gaming forum, as long as it is not becoming really offensive and transgressing or completely derailing a thread, I do not see the need to be so harsh on us.
