I have a modded PS3, you can install custom firmware only if you are firmware 3.55 (or lower of course) Rebug and Rogero are popular CFW up to version 4.55 I think. (otherwise you need a very expensive firmware reflashing and of course your ps3 must be old enough to run fine on 3.55, in production until mid 2011)
The point: Remote Play on PS3 SUCKS, MOST games doesn't start at all and you will have a lot of problem, since FW 4.2X You can registere your PS Vita properly (no mobile phone) and the image quality has become much better, but it is still unusable in my opinion, the games I want doesn't work! Even PS2 classics aren't compatible, even if I resign the PKG file! (it would be cool if it worked...)
