Microsoft can easily buy the ip if it does well. It might be the new COD of next gen. I cant wait to play it :)

Why is Call of Duty popular?
1. It was innovative and unique in a time of WW2 era shooters and brought the genre into modern-day setting
   -Perks
   -Killstreaks
   -Amazing graphics for its time

2. Activision muscle supporting it. This is the company that brought us Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero franchises.
  - Amazing marketing
  -Games penetrate pop culture

3. Yearly release Cycle
-Keeps games feeling fresh while still familiar
-Brings in millions(billions?) of dollars of profit
-Multiplatform. It's on everything, even the Wii.

Titanfall is being published by EA, the worst company in America, its not innovative and it is not multiplatform. Titanfall is not the "next Call of Duty". The timed-exclusive agreement with Microsoft killed any chance of that.

Well, it took the call of duty brand a few games before it started getting huge traction.  Titanfall could turn into the next cod eventually.  Also, activision is really not any better than EA.

I agree. And the head of the dev company were the people who made the best COD games. However, it would need to be as successul on the PS4 to get near COD. But its exclusive, right?

Activsion is much better than EA at marketing their games and turning them into cultural phenomena.
EA pretty much are just copycats.

EA's answer to Tony Hawk = Skate
Guitar Hero = Rockband
Call of Duty = Battelfield(they tried with Medal of Honor but it didn't take)

EA just has too many games to market while Activison focuses on a few select few.

BattleField And Call Of Duty are not as similar as you might think...

Nothing inherently wrong with that, and of course they will not talk about that, but "the power of the cloud".

That said (for those who actually care about the game):

"Let's put it plainly: will PlayStation owners ever see Titanfall?

"It's definitely not out of the question," Emslie replied. "We have a huge appreciation for the fans. Coming out and showing it to everybody, we're super nervous and wanted to make sure everybody loved it. We love all our fans, whatever console they support.

"So yeah. We want to make everybody happy, but this is where we're at right now."

Because it is not an Xbone exclusive?

Dont you think it is about time to drop the "xbone" term?  Isnt it easier to just type x1?  Unless you are trying to be derogatory...

That's funny because these days I tried to type something about 360 and write "Xbone 360"... I write Xbone unconscious... in google when I will search something about it I type "Xbone blablabla" so I get no result and so fixed "Xbox One blablabla".

I think easy to use Xbone instead Xbox or X1 for example... I think more easy to speak too (I think that's more because I'm not a native English).

I'm not a Xbox fan but I loved the nickname... I really think everybody needs to use it.

And why this name is derogatory? I don't get it... it means anything? I have no translation to it.

Well, if you want to be technical, both battlefield and medal of honor existed before call of duty.  Call of duty was actually activisions answer to medal of honor/ ea.  activision actually poached the medal of honor team from ea to do call of duty, you know them as infinity ward.

also, ea has plenty of cultural phenomena games, fifa, madden, the sims, need for speed, etc.

Activision probably does do a better job of marketing their big games, but most of their games they just kind of throw out there.  I think EA has a more well rounded approach to marketing.

I doubt it will stay a "microsoft exclusive"  Even if the first game does stay exclusive, the next one wont be.  If it were to get up to call of duty levels, it would probably take at least four iterations to get there.

Derogatory basically just means it has a negative meaning attached to it.

I know the term is common usage on this site now, and microsoft certainly deserved to be made fun of initiially, but I think they have recently started making a lot of steps to correct their course.  Basically, I think it is probably about time to table the xbone term.  At least until microsoft starts acting boneheaded again

I know what is derogatory... I mean that I don't understand how "Xbone" is derogatory... I'm missing something... I think it is a cool nickname... far better than X1 (even to pronounce is bad... I don't like).

Xbone seems like X-anythingpowerful... it is strong.

Because it's not.

I wont be buying any iteration or incarnation of this game on any platform
