Tuesday news, part two:

Hitman 3 is getting lazy with the newest deadly sin DLC
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/hitman-3-is-getting-lazy-with-the-newest-deadly-sin-dlc/
Agent 47 has been a naughty lad recently, diving into all sorts of greedy and prideful wrongdoings as part of Hitman 3's Seven Deadly Sins DLC. Now the third deadly sin is on the way, with the season of sloth dropping this week.

A huge Elden Ring infodump just dropped
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/a-huge-elden-ring-infodump-just-dropped/
Following Elden Ring's epic reveal trailer, the game's director and FromSoftware CEO Hidetaka Miyazaki has given his first detailed interview about the game. You can read the full thing on IGN here, but we've picked out some of the most interesting things Miyazaki said below, and what they might mean for the game.

Starfield is a 'bit more hardcore' than previous Bethesda RPGs, says Todd Howard
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/starfield-is-a-bit-more-hardcore-than-previous-bethesda-rpgs-says-todd-howard/
(...) in a new interview today with The Telegraph, Bethesda's executive producer Todd Howard revealed even more information about the space RPG.
"It's also a bit more hardcore of a roleplaying game than we've done," Howard said to The Telegraph. "It's got some really great character systems—choosing your background, things like that. We’re going back to some things that we used to do in games long ago that we felt have really let players express the character they want to be."

Take-Two's E3 livestream wasn't quite what viewers were expecting
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/take-two-e3-2021-livestream/
"Corporations really have to take accountability, and do what's right," said 2K director of diversity, inclusion, and equality Toni Ligons, PhD during Take-Two's E3 livestream today. It's the sort of thing you expect to hear during a 30-second segment about corporate responsibility that plays before loud E3 trailers about guns, but that wasn't the case for GTA publisher Take-Two. I jotted that line down about 30 minutes into a 45 minute panel about corporate responsibility and "diversity, equity, and inclusion" in the games industry, which was the entirety of Take-Two's E3 "keynote."

Back 4 Blood DLC will be accessible to everyone in a party as long as one player owns it
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/back-4-blood-dlc-will-be-accessible-to-everyone-in-a-party-as-long-as-one-player-owns-it/
Back 4 Blood, in case the title isn't enough of a giveaway, is a Left 4 Dead-alike co-op zombie shooter that's now in development at Turtle Rock Studios. Over the weekend, Turtle Rock revealed how the game's PvP mode will work: As the survivors, one team of players will attempt to hold out against zombies (known as "Ridden" in the game, for some reason) controlled by another team.

BioWare's new general manager promises to rebuild its reputation
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/biowares-new-general-manager-promises-to-rebuild-its-reputation/
In December 2020, Casey Hudson announced his departure from BioWare. The move seemed to catch everyone by surprise, including parent company Electronic Arts, which announced the same day that a search for someone to fill the general manager role left vacant by Hudson was underway. (...)
Today, BioWare announced that it has found the person it's been looking for: Gary McKay, who joined the studio in January 2020 as head of development operations and has been serving as interim GM since December, has been given the job permanently.
>> I wish him good luck. He'll need it.

Resident Evil Village DLC is in development 'by popular demand'
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/resident-evil-village-dlc-is-in-development-by-popular-demand/
We liked Resident Evil Village a whole lot, scoring it an 85% in our review. And obviously it's sold well, because Capcom announced in its E3 2021 presentation that DLC is on the way.
Well, "announced" is a strong word for how Capcom broke the news, which was with this plain text above on a black screen. Exciting stuff.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 will have a demo on June 25 and progress will carry to the full game
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/monster-hunter-stories-2-will-have-a-demo-on-june-25-and-progress-will-carry-to-the-full-game/
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin isn't out until July 9, but players will be able to jump in early with the trial version that is coming on June 25. Even better, the progress you make in this demo will carry over to the full game—though we don't know how big the demo will be.

Half-Life: Alyx's lights flicker just like they did in Quake, almost 25 years later
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/half-life-alyxs-lights-flicker-just-like-they-did-in-quake-almost-25-years-later/
In game development, it's important to recognise when not to reinvent the wheel. And so, 25 years after Id first lit Quake's grimy hallways with blinking lights, we end up with the fluorescent lamps of Half-Life Alyx's City 17 flickering in exactly the same way.
>> This is a perfect example of a filler article. Why use it during a busy week like E3? I have no f*cking idea.

Seasons return in Forza Horizon 5, with one important twist
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/seasons-return-in-forza-horizon-5-with-one-important-twist/
Forza Horizon 5's "truly next-gen" world will once again feature rotating seasons—but don't expect Mexico's sunny beaches to be buried in snow when winter rolls around.
Speaking to IGN, creative director Mike Brown confirmed that seasons (in the natural meaning of the term, not the videogame one) would be back in FH5. Introduced in FH4, this saw the entire map shift into a new season every week, changing depending on whether it was spring, summer, autumn or winter.

We will get a look into FSR and we will get a look into the next version of Windows. If we go by Microsoft's pattern, hopefully Windows 11 should be much better than Windows 10...

FSR is something I'm somewhat excited for. Win 11 should be interesting too, been a long time since 10 released.

I still use the same retail copy of 7 (now 10 ofc) lol, hopefully we can all upgrade to that xP

Not really. Remember that MSoft skipped Windows 9, meaning that 10 was the good one and 11 will be the crappy one.

By the way, first news of it have leaked and it seems that MSoft wants people to hate it from the start: the taskbar icons are now in the center:

Not really the best start, is it?

Looks like they're trying to imitate MacOS. I don't actually mind centered icons on task bar, having an UW monitor. But it probably something to get used to.

Yes but that's because 7 8 9 :P

But yea, we will see how it ends up on their press event and final release cause Windows 10 felt more buggy than anything else. Least with Direct X 12 Agility, we won't need to upgrade to get the latest gaming features if it turns out to be bad.
