http://www.dsogaming.com/news/mass-effect-andromeda-ea-recommends-a-gtx1060-for-1080p30fps-on-high-settings-nvidia-claims-otherwise/
According to EA, an NVIDIA GTX1060 graphics card is recommended for gaming at 1080p/30fps on High settings. This caught us off guard as Mass Effect: Andromeda is powered by DICE’s Frostbite 3 Engine; an engine that performs incredibly well on the PC platform.

>>There's also an article about the Graphics settings of the PC version, an article that has a thread made by Chazore.

Between Golden Worlds, Quarian clues, and 17-minute long spoiler-free loyalty missions, Mass Effect: Andromeda is fair ramping up its presence ahead of its March 21 launch. We've seen snippets of exploration footage before now, however the latest short visits three planets—Voeld, Kadara and Eos—showcasing each habitat's weather, and the knock on effects this has on handling the Nomad.

MOUNT & BLADE 2: BANNERLORD TEASES ITS GORGEOUS CALRADIAN EMPIRE IN NEW SCREENS
http://www.pcgamer.com/mount-blade-2-bannerlord-teases-its-gorgeous-calradian-empire-in-new-screens/
TaleWorlds' Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord may still be without a concrete launch date, but the next issue of PC Gamer magazine goes in deep with the most ambitious open-world RPG since Skyrim.

RAIN WORLD, THE SURVIVAL-PLATFORMING STORY OF SLUGCAT, COMES OUT THIS MONTH
http://www.pcgamer.com/rain-world-the-survival-platforming-story-of-slugcat-comes-out-this-month/
I'm not very good at platformers, but in spite of that I've been keeping a close eye on Rain World. I love the look of the lo-res post-apocalyptic setting, and Slugcat, the spear-wielding half-slug, half-cat creature who is "both predator and prey in a broken ecosystem," is utterly adorable. Earlier this year it was slated for release sometime in 2017, and today publisher Adult Swim Games nailed that down to the pleasantly-soon March 28.

BLIZZARD IS GOING TO ISSUE BANS TO PLAYERS FARMING XP IN OVERWATCH CUSTOM GAMES
http://www.pcgamer.com/blizzard-is-going-to-issue-bans-to-players-farming-xp-in-overwatch-custom-games/
Some shameless Overwatch players have been using the new custom game server browser to farm for XP. Custom games reward experience upon completion, so players were setting up Skirmish matches in which they could safely AFK, collecting experience without any effort. The practice was always ethically dubious, but most players assumed it existed in some sort of grey area as far as Blizzard was concerned.

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS WILL HIT EARLY ACCESS ON MARCH 23, AND HERE'S THE OFFICIAL TRAILER
http://www.pcgamer.com/playerunknowns-battlegrounds-will-hit-early-access-on-march-23-and-heres-the-official-trailer/
We've got the official trailer for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the multiplayer battle royale shooter from developer Bluehole and Brendan Greene—the man who created the genre with his mods for Arma 2 and 3. If you like what you see, and you haven't had a chance to play it in closed beta, you don't have too much longer to wait: Battlegrounds will hit Steam Early Access on March 23.

THE ELDER SCROLLS: LEGENDS HAS MULTIPLE EXPANSIONS AND MOBILE VERSIONS ON THE WAY
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-elder-scrolls-legends-has-multiple-expansions-and-mobile-versions-on-the-way/
After seven months in the Daedric realm otherwise known as open beta testing, Bethesda announced today that The Elder Scrolls: Legends CCG is now in full release. More excitingly for fans, the studio also shared its post-release plans, starting with the iPad debut on March 23 (which is worth mentioning, because it’ll hopefully bring an influx of new players). That will be followed by Legends’ first PvE expansion, The Fall of The Dark Brotherhood, which arrives on April 5, and an Android tablet rollout later that month.

APE OUT IS A LOUD, PSYCHEDELIC GORILLA-STARRING HOTLINE MIAMI-A-LIKE
http://www.pcgamer.com/ape-out-is-a-loud-and-psychedelic-gorilla-starring-hotline-miami-a-like/
Outlandish publisher Devolver Digital is known to lend its name to unorthodox videogames, but its latest is one of its most unusual yet.
Lone developer Gabe Cuzzillo's Ape Out plays sort of like Hotline Miami in that it's brutally violent and is shot from a top-down perspective. But instead of guiding a trigger-happy mercenary around '80s-style video nasty locales, you steer an enraged gorilla around a psychedelic paint-splashed zoo-like world—where your pursuers are your captors as opposed to volatile hitmen.

DAY OF INFAMY RELEASE DATE CONFIRMED FOR THIS MONTH
http://www.pcgamer.com/day-of-infamy-release-date-confirmed/
Day of Infamy is the standalone expansion for 2014 war shooter Insurgency that hit Early Access last July. After just three months of pre-release bunker living, the WW2-inspired total conversion will breach the bounds of full release on March 23.

Ah yes, the growing pains of a new platform.

Also grr, the 1080Ti is almost at 4k 60 but still not quite. Welp, I shall wait till Volta for my GPU upgrade!

It will take years for a real 4K/60fps card because newer games will keep pushing the bar further and further away.

But it's true that if Volta manages to do what Maxwell and Pascal did in the high end, a 2080Ti could be that card for a while.

I can't even bring myself to look at 1080ti benchmarks. That card is so far outside of my price range it hurts.

Happy to see Rain World finally releasing. Feels like it's been forever since I first heard of it.

If that goes for my post, I don't know.

vivster has been following it more than I, but I think Kingdom Com will be very taxing. And of course, there's Star Citizen.

How taxing are we talking?(for KCD), because the game is also supposed to be running on the OG consoles of this gen, so the differences won't be night and day (unless theyr eally want to show up what current gen cannot handle).

Well, taxing enough to keep the card from achieving 4K@60fps with everything on max. At least, that's what we were talking about.

And don't focus just on that game, because I only used it as an example of games that could move the power req bar further away and make the Volta Ti card not powerful enough for that "magic" 4K@60fps mark some pursuit.
