^Well, that's surprising and disappointing.

I hope AMD can find the cause of that terrible performance and fix it soon.

Here's the fix:

AMD has released their new Hotfix driver, Crimson 16.5.2.1, specifically to address the issues with R9 290, 290x, 390, 390x with the release of DOOM.

Please excuse my bad English.

Is it me or are the dx12 benchmarks not that impressive? Many sites show hardly any performance gains from the Fury X (considering the its a new card and the dx11 performance gains)... I was also hoping that it would be a more capable 4k card but oh wellz. I think I will skip, my 970 does me well in 1080p and my next monitor upgrade will be 4k so... I shall wait!

It does do a lot better with Rise of the Tomb Raider tho but I was hoping it would have a considerable lead in all 3 dx12 games

Also some Quantum Break benchmarks wouldn't hurt :P

Remember that those are launch drivers, and it will improve over time.

And it's already about 30% faster than the 980Ti/Titan X, that's not too shabby.

Hopefully cause I am most curious about dx12 since more games are going to come out with it. Not saying it buying it has no value cause the upgrade is still quite awesome in most games out today but I am more curious about the dx12 games out in the future. Hopefully in a month or two when Nvidia did have a chance to update their drivers, it will show a better picture.

We'll be able to get a look at the improvements when the 1070 launches, hopefully.

Also, about your Quantum Break request, testing Windows Store games is harder than regular games, with all the problems with fraps and other software.

True dat. Sigh MS. What on earth were they thinking when they launched the UWP

Also wondering with all this DX 12, when is id going to roll out the support for DOOM with Vulkan like what we were shown at that Nvidia expo?.
