Slay the Spire gets the best Christmas present a deckbuilder could ask for: a new all-time concurrent player peak on Steam nearly 7 years after release
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/card-games/slay-the-spire-gets-the-best-christmas-present-a-deckbuilder-could-ask-for-a-new-all-time-concurrent-player-peak-on-steam-nearly-7-years-after-release/
Slay the Spire certainly turned heads when it released, immediately cementing itself as one of the best deckbuilders in town and helping to kick off a trend that persists today. That was nearly seven years ago at this point, but the game is turning even more heads today: it just hit an all-time concurrent player peak on Steam, according to SteamDB.
Remarkably, it's not even close. Its previous peak is from when it released into early access in 2018, at just over 33,000 players, and this holiday season has brought it screaming past 57,000 a few hours before I wrote this article (it's settled down to about 35,000 now—still a notch above the old record). The game has been good the whole time, but there are a few probable causes for this sudden surge in spire slaying.

You can now play as Henry Cavill’s Superman in Grand Theft Auto 5
https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/you-can-now-play-as-henry-cavills-superman-in-grand-theft-auto-5/
Talented modder ‘JulioNIB’ has released a public free version of his Superman mod for Grand Theft Auto 5. This mod will let you wreak havoc in Los Santos as the Man of Steel. And the best part? There is a custom skin that lets you play as Henry Cavill’s Superman.
As Superman, players can use their laser abilities to kill enemies. They can decapitate them with a slap, and they can cut them in half. Moreover, they can grab them and smash them to the ground. And yes, you will also be able to fly.
Now, as you may all know, that’s not how Superman rolls. Superman is not that violent. Well, that is the OG Superman. JulioNIB first made this mod as a Homelander mod. But after many fans asked for it, he created a Superman version, based on it.
All in all, this is a really cool mod that you can use for your third or fourth replay. If you are a Superman and a Henry Cavill fan, you can go ahead and download the mod from this link. At the end of the article, you can find two videos. The first one is a showcase video. The second is an installation guide video. So, make sure to watch both of them. Do note that this is only for GTA 5 Legacy Edition, though.
Dragon Ball FighterZ Just Got an Amazing Yu-Gi-Oh!! Character Mod
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/dragon-ball-fighterz-just-got-an-amazing-yu-gi-oh-character-mod/
Modder ‘Kongmeng’ has released an amazing new mod for Dragon Ball FighterZ. This mod allows you to play as Yami Yugi from the Yu-Gi-Oh!! anime.
Normally, you’d assume that this would have been a simple character swap mod. But no, this is more than that. Yugi has his own moves, and he can summon a lot of monsters and characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh!! show. For instance, you can summon the Dark Magician, who can fight for you. You can even summon Slifer, the Sky Dragon, as well as Exodia, The Forbidden One.
This is one of the coolest mods you’ll ever find for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Now, I don’t know how many of you are still playing it. Still, this is a must-have for all fans of DBZ and Yu-Gi-Oh!!. After all, we haven’t gotten a Yu-Gi-Oh!! fighting game yet. So, this is the only way you can fight as Yami Yugi.
Last year, Kongmeng released another must-have mod for Dragon Ball FighterZ. That mod allows you to play as Dio from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Dio had all of his signature moves, including “Chronostasis.” This is an ability via which Dio can stop time. He can even summon his humanoid Stand, The World.
As with the Yu-Gi-Oh!! Mod, the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Mod is a must-have for everyone who still plays Dragon Ball FighterZ. You can download both of them from here and here. Below, you can also find their trailers. These will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from them. So, be sure to check them out.
Modders are bringing GTA: San Andreas to GTA 5’s RAGE Engine
https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/modders-are-bringing-gta-san-andreas-to-gta-5s-rage-engine/
Revolution Team, the modding team behind GTA Vice City NextGen Edition, has announced GTA: San Andreas NextGen Edition. This project aims to bring the entirety of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to GTA 5’s RAGE Engine.
Like GTA Vice City NextGen Edition, GTA San Andreas NextGen Edition will feel like a remaster of the original game. This project will port the entire game and its content to the Grand Theft Auto 5 RAGE Engine. This means that it will have all the missions, characters, and cars from the original version. In other words, this mod won’t just bring the map from San Andreas to GTA 5’s RAGE Engine. Instead, it will be the entire game with all of its content.
While there is no ETA on when its first version will come out, the team shared a teaser trailer. This trailer does not show much. It only has the iconic “Ah sh!t, here we go again” cut-scene. And that’s it. So, consider this an announcement trailer and nothing more.
These Fallout 4 Mods Add 32 Brand New Immersive Interiors
https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/new-fallout-4-mods-add-32-new-immersive-interiors/
Modder ‘Tommygunner321’ has released three mods that add 32 new immersive interiors to Fallout 4. And, since these mods add new free content to the game, I highly recommend downloading them.
Going into more details, the first mod adds 10 new interiors to the College District of Cambridge. The second mod adds 12 interiors to the Fens district of downtown Boston. And finally, the third mod adds 10 new interiors to East Boston. All of them are focused on small businesses and living spaces.
You can go ahead and download these mods from here, here, and here. At the end of the article, you can also find two videos for them. These videos can give you a glimpse of what you can expect from them. So, make sure to watch them before downloading them.
Half Life 2 – Raising the Bar: Redux Episode 3 Gets New Trailer
https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/half-life-2-raising-the-bar-redux-episode-3-gets-new-trailer/
The modding team behind the Raising the Bar: Redux Mod for Half-Life 2 has released a trailer for its third episode/chapter. This third chapter is a culmination of seven years of growth, and it will be the largest so far.
For those who don’t know, Half-Life 2 – Raising the Bar: Redux is a mod that brings back content that was cut from the original game. The team behind it mixes different versions of Half-Life 2’s early development with their own ideas, creating a unique and fresh take on the cut content.
Episode 3 will take place in a man-made desert created by the alien Combine, who have drained Earth’s oceans. Players will face many new alien creatures, based on enemies that were cut from Half-Life 2. Such enemies are the Sand Barnacle and the Antlion Birther. There will also be a huge final boss fight against a massive enemy that no other Half-Life 2 mod has been able to include so far.
According to the trailer, the team still plans to release Episode 3 by the end of 2025. So, my guess is that we’ll get it sometime this week. In case the mod comes out tomorrow, I’ll be sure to update the story with a download link to it.
