NEW DOOM GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE AIRED ON CONAN O'BRIEN

http://www.pcgamer.com/new-doom-gameplay-footage-aired-on-conan-obrien/

Following the launch of a new trailer earlier today, comes more new Doom footage via Conan O'Brien's Clueless Gamer segment. The footage is fleeting and, to be honest, kinda unsatisfying. Still, you can see a Mancubus copping it in the gut, as well as what appears to be a wave-based survival mode.

MIRROR'S EDGE CATALYST BETA SIGN-UPS OPEN, STORY REVEALED

http://www.pcgamer.com/mirrors-edge-catalyst-beta-sign-ups-open-story-revealed/

That is a bloody beautiful trailer, however much it might be packed with high drama and over-earnest extras. Some of that acting is of top calibre though, and the facial tech too, but as Samuel has just proclaimed "I don't want voice acting I want to run over shit." Mirror's Edge: Catalyst's success will hinge on its ability to balance open-world free-running with its more dramatic ambitions.

BETHESDA MAKES FAN DESTROY RECORDS FOR REFUND

http://www.pcgamer.com/bethesda-makes-fan-destroy-records-for-refund/

Ouch. The last time I felt like this I was euthanising a Companion Cube. Paul Watson requested a refund from Bethesda on discovering that one of the discs in his $125 limited edition four-disc Fallout 3 vinyl soundtrack was warped. He was refunded $25 for the one damaged item. For Watson to receive the remainder, a condition—rather, a test of mental fortitude—was imposed. He would have to destroy the remaining vinyls and provide proof.

>>I'm not a collector, but yeah, Ouch!

TRACKMANIA TURBO GETS SET FOR MARCH

http://www.pcgamer.com/trackmania-turbo-gets-set-for-march/

Trackmania Turbo, the latest instalment in the frenetic, cathartic arcade racing series, was delayed from its November 2015 release in order to "enhance the campaign and the game’s interface", get the online infrastructure stable and add in a new user-made map mode. Basically, finish the game. That finishing line is finally in sight, with Turbo set to release March 25.

CAPCOM LAUNCHES STREET FIGHTER 5 INTRO SERIES

http://www.pcgamer.com/capcom-launches-street-fighter-5-intro-series/

Not having touched a fighting game since discovering the button-mashing, side-on easter egg in Enter The Matrix, I find Street Fighter and its ilk immensely intimidating. The best players tend to have been brawling since they were old enough to get hands round a fight stick, so coming in fresh with neither coordination nor ability to distinguish one fighter from another is a big hill to climb. This one fires electricity, apparently. Capcom seems to have recognised the potential for bafflement and is releasing an introduction video for each of Street Fighter V's characters, summarising basic attributes for noobs and pointing out differences from previous incarnations for series followers.

Lunar New Year Sale has started on Steam. Thousands of games on sale. Ends 12 February.

I think the choose your own adventure part is rather neat.

Hey! There's a new sale on Steam that lasts until February 12 : the LUNAR NEW YEAR SALE

That was unexpected... but very welcome

Edit: Damn it! I've been beated.

Edit 2: They're basically the same sales of the last Winter Sale, with some small changes. I can see myself getting a couple games or more.

EH it's mostly stuff I already own along with it looking a lot like Steam Winter sale where the prices aren't as low.

I guess Steam agreed that the Summer sale was too long to wait for

Not sure I'll get anything. Would have liked it if Samurai Warriors 4 or Dragon Quest Heroes had been on sale, but they're not

I agree that summer is a long wait for another sale, but the Winter one ended one month ago!

Something like march or April would have been better.

Hey Chaz, how you enjoying XCOM 2 anyway?

Haven't had a chance to play it yet. I was meaning to give Li-Ming a try on Heroes and I;ve been playing around with her with a few mates for some time.

You better play Heroes now because, if XCOM 2 is like the first one, you won't play anything else for days XD.

I meet all the other specs, it's just the graphics card that I'm unsure about.

If it's a 1gb GT340 you should JUST meet the minium requirements, GT340 should be barely stronger than the 9800gt which is listed as minimum requirement. You'll have to play on very low settings, hopefully it'll be smooth though.
