Happened to me when I pre-loaded Homeworld DoK, it was said to launch on the 20th Jan and it turned 20th for me as soona s midnight and yet I wasn't able to play the game well until 5pm that day. Needless to say I was annoyed quite a bit and I have a feeling it's going to happen with XCOM 2 even though I've already pre-loaded. I don't know how they do it but I thnik Valve go by a specific US timezone in order for a world wide release which is pretty damn pathetic and stupid if you ask me and it won't stop spoilers in any way shape or form if that is their main excuse.

What should originally happen is the moment it turns midnight in the UK or anywhere else ahead in time, should be able toplay the game from that point on.

Also yeah you're right it officially says on Steams page in the UK that it's to be released today and it;s nearly fucking 7pm for fucks sake.

If you look at the map I posted, it's clear to see where they set the time zones:

Zone 3 Feb 5th 5:01 AM GMT

             Feb 4th 9:01 PM PST

             Feb 5th 12:01 AM EST

Well that sucks =/.

I was going to make a thread about the new announced "culling" game but we don't have much more info about it besides a trailer and their Steam page along with knowing that it's going to be like Battle Royale.



Needless to say I'm sold on the idea.

Lol nearly 11:10 and nothing is happening. Wth is even going on Steam/Firaxis?. I know I'm not alone ebcause I'm in a live thread where all other Brits are talking about the game still not unlocking.

The game unlocked for me nearly 20 mins ago, though I'm hopping into a few matches of Heroes of the Storm to try out the latest added heroes.

Dust 514 is a free-to-play FPS spin-off of EVE Online that launched in 2013, unfortunately as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. CCP salved that wound somewhat a year later when it announced Project Legion, a game similar to Dust 514, but more able to leverage the power of PCs. But now it appears that things have changed: Dust 514 is going offline later this year, and while the planned PC shooter is still in the works, it doesn't sound like it's Project Legion anymore.

Grip, the combat racing game inspired by (which is to say, couldn't get the rights to) Rollcage, crashed and burned pretty hard on Kickstarter last year. In spite of that, developer Caged Element said the work would continue, supported by a home-grown crowdfunding campaign and, eventually, an Early Access release. And so it has.

I do like to see a finished game. Wales Interactive's Soul Axiom is escaping Early Access on February 29, that leap day providing the devs 24 hours' more work in defiance of temporal laws.
