"SAMOROST 3 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS REVEALED"

I nearly spilled my coffee just reading the headline - I LOVE Amanita's work, so far they can't make a bad game even if they tried to, but giving system requirements for what pretty much translates into Flash level of demanding (as with all their work) is really funny.

'FPS CONSTRUCTION KIT' GUNSCAPE WILL RELEASE IN MARCH

http://www.pcgamer.com/fps-construction-kit-gunscape-will-release-in-march/

Several games have taken the Minecraft approach to world building and slotted it into an FPS setting: the quite decent Blockstorm and the helpfully titled Guncraft are two examples that spring to mind. Now there's Gunscape, an 'FPS construction kit' which has been in Early Access for a while now, but is poised to launch proper this March.

ARCEN LAYS OFF NEARLY ALL STAFF DESPITE SUCCESSFUL STARWARD ROGUE LAUNCH

http://www.pcgamer.com/arcen-lays-off-nearly-all-staff-despite-successful-starward-rogue-launch/

Arcen Games released the roguelike bullet hell Starward Rogue last week to near-universal acclaim: As I write this, there are 97 user reviews on Steam, and all but one are positive. But studio founder and CEO Chris Park said in a blog post today, roughly a week after the game was released, that the positive response has not translated into sales. So even though Starward Rogue is “possibly our best [game] yet,” Arcen is going to lay off almost its entire staff.

GTA ONLINE IS GETTING A NEW PARACHUTE-BASED DROP ZONE MODE

http://www.pcgamer.com/gta-online-is-getting-a-new-parachute-based-drop-zone-mode/

Without question, one of my favourite things to do in GTA 5 is to jump out of flying vessels. So it's nice that GTA Online's newest mode involves doing exactly that, except with a competitive element. In the new adversary mode, four teams leap from separate cargobobs in a race to seize a single drop zone. Whichever team holds the drop zone for "two non-continuous" minutes will win the match.

NEW MASS EFFECT, BATTLEFIELD, TITANFALL BY APRIL 2017

Quarterly shareholder reports are the sort of thing you read to squalling toddlers to knock them out, but occasionally they reveal the nefarious plans of unknowable corporations. EA's third-quarter statement, spotted by Game Informer, indicates that Mass Effect: Andromeda and the next Battlefield and Titanfall games will all appear before the end of the next financial year (March 31, 2017). Battlefield will be out come Christmas.

DANISH 'DODGEBALL ADVENTURE' STIKBOLD COMING SPRING

Seventies dodgeball adventure: words that I don't often use in succession, but before Rocket League I didn't typically write supersonic acrobatic rocket-powered battle cars, so there you go. Stikbold, by Game Swing, is a product of the Nordic Game Jam (Scandinavia is stockpiling game design crazy, you see). Now that it's been fleshed out, it's releasing this spring.

The latest Path of Exile: Ascendancy character class has been revealed as the Berserker, a Marauder specialization who's all about reckless disregard for personal safety. The Berserker moves fast, hits hard, and doesn't mind taking a few shots in return. In fact, he's often at his best when he's getting mugged.

There's a new rumor regarding Nvidia's next cards.

Nvidia Pascal Titan Rumored to be coming as early as April

http://www.overclock3d.net/articles/gpu_displays/nvidia_pascal_titan_rumored_to_be_coming_as_early_as_april/1

Nvidia's upcoming Pascal GPUs are now rumored to be coming to market as early as April, starting off with a Pascal Titan-esque GPU with lower end models coming later.

The high end models are expected to using the GP100 GPU core, which is built on TSMC 16nm process and use HBM memory, though right now capacities are yet to be confirmed, but current rumors suggest a maximum VRAM capacity of 32GB.

At around June of this year Nvidia are rumored to be launching their GP104 core GPUs, which are rumored by Techfrag to be using GDDR5X memory and not HBM and make up the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070, if Nvidia continue to use their current naming scheme.

The GTX 1080 is expected to have performance that is similar to the GTX 980Ti or Titan X, but come in with a lower TDP and thermals, though right now this is merely guesswork given Nvidia's recent trends when moving from one generation to another.

____________________

Personally I don't believe it.

I could see Nvidia launching Pascal based Tesla cards in April as the profit margins are big enough to offset the lower yields, but consumer graphic cards are another thing. My guess is that they will wait until TSMC readies its second gen of 16nm products.

If those new Nvidia GPU's are close to being 980ti's but are even more expensive then Nvidia can count me out for another 5 more more years, I want a decent new gen GPU that brings more power, nit slightly a bit more but reduces heat and yet costs double to triple more than the current line.

I gave it a 88 out of 100

Will be playing Tomb Raider reboot soon after I finish one of the F2P VNs I downloaded (I always play VNs after a main game on Steam to balance things out XD).

Already got Tomb Raider Reboot downloaded.

Yesterday I finished Tomb Raider. I liked it. I expected it to be riddled by QTEs as per the complains of a few people, but I didn't found them to be too many or tiresome.

I was more frustrated by the sections of the game when you can't do nothing but going forward as the game itself does the rest, but there's only a couple of them.

Nvidia isn't that stupid to make that mistake.

Yes, they may not use the full Pascal chip in the 1080/70 cards just yet and go for the smaller GP104, but even when they did the same with the 680/670 and the GK104 chip, the performance jump from the previous cards was big enough:

I do hope we see a big jump because if either side throws out a decent GPU that doesn't cost another £500+ then they have a deal, if it's the same as with the 980 but more expensive then they lose me.
