Marketing BS is at it worse with the nvidia CES press conference. Every performance graph they shown so far is showing performance with DLSS 3.0 so very unrealistic of the true performance over last gen.

There was so much spinning it made me dizzy. I think the main points are:

- 4080 GPUs are now part of Geforce Now and will be replacing the 3080 tier at no additional cost

They showed marketing performance numbers but it's all bs. Just wait for reviews as the 4070 Ti will be releasing in a few days anyway. I am very excited about the laptops though. The efficiency improvements over Ampere should be nutty even if the prices are yikes.

NVIDIA announces GeForce RTX 40 Laptop GPU series, RTX 4090 with 9728 CUDAs and 16GB GDDR6 memory

Pretty good chance I'll be getting Lovelace laptop by Christmas but we will see.

If true, I am sure those cards for 799 will be limited unicorn as there are no FE models. If you are planning to upgrade, I'd be prepared.

Better performance charts from Nvidia than what was shown in the presentation:

Games to the right of F122 has DLSS 3 enabled so ignore those. The ones on the left of F1 2022 are without DLSS 3. (Vray and Arnold aren't games)

4070Ti  is faster than the 3090Ti.*

*only when using dlss3.

Well, it looks like it may end being between 10 and 30% faster, depending on the game. But we'll see, with the card launching in less than 2 days, we may get reviews on Friday or by Monday.

In any case, it would have been a great card at $499-549, not those theoretical $799.

Anyway, PCGamer has made an article with all the confirmed games that should launch this year and when (if known):

2023 games: all the new and upcoming releases confirmed for this year
https://www.pcgamer.com/2023-games-new-upcoming/
Let's get real. We're all thinking about 2023 games already, even though we're still several weeks from the end of this year. Some of the biggest releases we'd been anticipating this year got edge guarded into the next and there are guaranteed to be more release date casualties before December rolls around. Even though there are a lot of great games left on this year's docket, it can't hurt to take a peek ahead. I'm not the only one who starts thinking about what I want for tomorrow's breakfast while I'm still cooking today's dinner, right?

Be warned, the list gets quite dry after April, but that's because there's a ton of games with no confirmed launch dates or month.

Looks like improvements to artifacting are coming to DLSS 3. Hopefully Hardware Unboxed will re-review it after it gets updated.

This one is actually pretty cool. RTX Ai Video Super resolution upscales videos from 1080p to 4k using Ai kind of like DLSS:

I hope it will eventually come to firefox.

If it works well, it will be a godsend for PC users that have 4k monitors and watch Streaming content. Netflix/Prime Video for example refuse to stream 4k on PC even if you pay for them. If this works well and works universally, then we may be able to watch streaming content much better.
