So one of the quirks of 4090 is that it sort of follows the trends of the 30 series when the game runs into a CPU bottleneck which resulted in a lower than expected performance due to CPU overhead. This continues to happen with 40 series but they actually fall behind even Ampere which is kinda weird:

I'll be curious to see if RDNA 3 will have a higher CPU overhead than RDNA 2 as they will also be more than doubling their cores along in a large increase in memory bandwidth. I will say that as impressive as 4090 results are, I think RDNA 3 will still take the Raster crown as well as the crown in power efficiency. But in Ray Tracing and Ai, Nvidia will continue to show its lead.

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

If I can get my hands on one my performance should near quadruple over my current card, lol.

What should I say with a 1050Ti? Next best guess is the 1630 and even then it's 20x faster!

I whatched the GamerNexus video and seeing a 1070 included in the comparison, even if it was at the bottom of the charts, put a smile on my face.

Reminds me of the finla boss fight in Crysis with my 5850. It was so choppy that I could barely see a thing! But I still managed to beat it.

Please excuse my bad English.

What happens when you move two process nodes (away from crappy Samsung) in one generation. Really impressive stuff though and a great leap from the 3090/Ti. Expected to see way worse power draw, so surprisingly good to see them not chugging down the power. The only downer is the steep asking price.

It's certainly very efficient and uses less power than those 600W that we saw mentioned in rumors and feared, but it's still a 400-450W card for gaming.

Overall it's an incredible feat, an amazing card for those that game at 4K and have the resources for it.

Also, let's take a moment of silence for those that bought a 3090Ti. They've become a laughing stock.

Meta announces Quest Pro price..

$1500, 90hz LCD's kekw.

^^ The 3090 Ti was always a bad choice - worst bang for the buck in the market and Turing/Navi-tier efficiency despite being a full node below.

A true successor to Vega...
