Final Fantasy VII Remake is EGS exclusive on December 16th (The Game Awards)

It's time to sail Gentlemen

Fuck'em.

They also want £65 fucking quid for Forespoken on Steam.

4 deals with EGS in a year and a half, jesus christ they've never wanted my money so damn fast.

Don't need to bother with them after this. High seas from here on.

Aye matey

I know a few don't like this particular rant, but I really need to get this off the chest, because it's been pissing me off throughout this joke of a show.

We've all seen marketing from the likes of Google, Amazon, movies and EA, but by far, the most marketing I've seen in this show has come from Epic Games, from IP's they bought out to generally advertisements for exclusivity (also EG's chief creative officer showed up).

It's the fucking PCgamer show all over again, and I've never been so disappointed.

I was like "fuck yeah, new Dune game"

It's X4 based and they aren't going back to their RTS roots.

"Well there's this cool mechanical puppet game"

It's a Souls-Like

"At least there's Sonic?"

Sonic cycle, nuff said.

"New star Wars game!"

Quantic Dream

I'm sorry lads, I'm trying, I'm fucking trying to like to WANT something to look forward to, but this show, this ain't it. No new RTS, no new ARPG, no non exclusivity bs, being able to buy the games I want on the storefront I want isn't in the cards for me this year or next.

Yea I was hyped when I saw Star Wars trailer Until I saw the Quantic Dream logo.

Morning, guys. Looks like you didn't like The Game Awards (I was sleeping). Maybe this will help you get over it:

Good luck!

Rockstar Announces They’ve Fixed GTA Trilogy by Adding Microtransactions
https://hard-drive.net/rockstar-announces-theyve-fixed-gta-trilogy-by-adding-microtransactions/
NEW YORK — Rockstar Games publicly declared their remastered Grand Theft Auto Trilogy as being “fully fixed” today after adding what they’ve determined were sorely needed microtransactions to the poorly received release.

Spoiler!
That's satire if you couldn't tell.

Copy and pasted from the PS Thread -

Anyone tried the Matrix UE5 demo? Surprisingly it allows you to explore the city by foot and car. Link below for people who want to check it out and don't have a PS5/Series console to try it on.

The tech in that game is quite insane and visuals look so good in the first scene. Same tech as in the previous demo - Their GI, Nanite, ray-traced shadows and reflections and lots of NPC's walking about and cars/density in a big open map is super impressive. The only thing that kills FPS is when physics come into play and you crash into other cars lol. Man.. if this and Hellblade 2 is any indication of the actual next gen visuals we're in for a treat!

So they do a cinematic experience like burnout on crashes i can dig that.
Sidenote, so glad i cba with anything SE publishes outside tomb raider

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Lol yeah, it opens up after that and you can to explore walk about and drive about the city and adjust setting on the fly like what you see in a lot of tech demos.

The city is darned impressive tbh, considering the hardware in the consoles (not my screenshot). More details here - https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2021-the-matrix-ue5-demo-is-incredible

  • The city is 4,138 km wide and 4.968 km long, slightly larger than the size of downtown Los Angeles
  • The city surface is 15.79 km2
  • The city perimeter is 14.519 km long
  • There are 260 km of roads in the city
  • There are 512 km of sidewalk in the city
  • There are 1,248 intersections in the city
  • There are 45,073 parked cars, of which 38,146 are drivable and destructible
  • There are 17,000 simulated traffic vehicles on the road that are destructible
  • 7,000 buildings
  • 27,848 lamp posts on the street side only
  • 12,422 sewer holes
  • Almost 10 million unique and duplicated assets were created to make the city
  • The entire world is lit by only the sun, sky and emissive materials on meshes. No light sources were placed for the tens of thousands of street lights and headlights. In night mode, nearly all lighting comes from the millions of emissive building windows
  • 35,000 simulated MetaHuman pedestrians
  • Average polygon count? 7000k buildings made of 1000s of assets and each asset could be up to millions of polygons so we have several billions of polygons to make up just the buildings of the city  [Segment taken from Eurogamer]
