So RTX 3070 for $499 probably can keep up with Xbox Series X + PS5 (which won't be cheap since neither Microsoft nor Sony are daring to tell us the price).

Maybe PC gaming ain't dead yet.

Nope, I expect gpu performance for Ps5/XsX to be around geforce 3060, this is supposed to be the cut-down 256-bit bus card. But Rtx performance might be a bit higher for the consoles.

How could all the leakers get the Cores so wrong? That shit is absolutely massive and warrants the price.

They didn't miss it:

6x master league achiever in starcraft2

Beaten Sigrun on God of war mode

Beaten DOOM ultra-nightmare with NO endless ammo-rune, 2x super shotgun and no decoys on ps4 pro.

1-0 against Grubby in Wc3 frozen throne ladder!!

Impressive numbers, but we'll see how they actually perform in games. Any word on when reviews will go live? Also, looks like Nvidia has doubled the Shaders per SM count from 64 to 128. That's probably why so many leakers got it wrong.

The pricing is better than expected, but it's still high.

Also, to those of you saying that a 3060 will be able to keep up with consoles, let's wait to see how much VRAM those cards have because, if they still come with 6GB, that won't be enough unless you game at 1080p.

Please excuse my bad English.

Correction, they got the TGP numbers right.

But Nvidia won't force you to get a 12 Pin Adapter for Founders! 2x 8 pin will do just fine!

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/30-series/?nvid=nv-int-cwmfg-49069#cid=_nv-int-cwmfg_en-us

That's because they will ship an adapter with the card.

Nvidia also doesn't need as much Vram as AMD does as historically, they have been able to offer better performance with less (sometimes a lot less) Vram.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Considering how much the leakers got wrong, I wouldn't even believe that.

In the hypothetical case we're talking about it would be 6GB vs something like 10-12GB (16 minus whatever they reserve). That's almost twice the memory! Sure, they can deal with a couple GB of difference, but that's too much.

That's true. I suppose we will have to see how many new games implement DLSS to help with the Vram.
