That's 3080 be fast. Surprised that it only comes with 10GB of VRAM. Expected it to be at least 12.

Yea Vram is expensive this gen specially since most likely, it's gonna be GDDR6X. So while it's not "much" memory, the memory bandwidth should be pretty fast.

If Nvidia is that obsessed with the number 21, they should wait and launch the cards in 2021.

Loll if they do that, then it won't be their 21st anniversary anymore.

Hm. Being on par with the 2070 Super, it looks like the 3060 could be able to handle next gen games through most of the generation, although that will depend on the amount of VRAM it has.

The 3070 could be a very good card if the ray tracing improvements we've heard are real, but I don't get why there is a 3070Ti as it doesn't seem to do much to close the (in theory) massive performance gap between the 3070 and the 3080.

I'm still thinking of going for the 3080, while the 3090 doesn't sound like it's much more worth going for like it was for me going from a 980ti to a 1080ti.

Well if some of the discussions around the rumour mills are to be believed, and take those with massive grains of salt, Big Navi should be faster/on-par than a 3070 but slower than a 3080. The 3070 Ti's purpose is to be on par or beat Big Navi while having a similar price point. 3080 and above is where Nvidia gets to be greedy with the pricing as their performance in theory is gonna smoke all the GPUs.

The thing that makes it credible is that the most reliable leakers has released some leaks that correspond with that leak when it comes to Nvidia. What doesn't make it credible is that the credible leakers don't have really any info regarding Big Navi numbers so they are saying to take it with a grain of salt as they don't think anyone has info like this when it comes to Big Navi or even Nvidia's GPU benchmark numbers.

Remind you. Today is the August 15th, there must be someone who knows the truth more.
But there won't be such a detailed performance test even GA104/106/107. Also there won’t be detailed price information. There won’t be accurate information about NAVI21 now.

That's true. GDDR6X is cutting edge. The bandwidth will be more than enough. And especially when compared to consoles from the 3080 up. They should be pretty overclockable too, so room for more improvement.

And damn I was pretty spot on with my prediction on RTX 3070. About 15% higher performance than a RTX 2080 Super. Almost hanging there with the 2080Ti, not too shabby!

With major improvements to RT I can see why some Youtubers like RGT and MLID says that Turing is going to age badly.
