Already finished it 5 times? Am I the only one who thinks that's ridiculous?

I'm frustrated Ellie wouldn't tell her jokes in the bookstore. She said it's time for some puns, but no prompt appeared.

It only takes 3 playthroughs to get all of the campaign trophies. It was just one of those games where I couldn't put the controller down. I love this game.

When you encounter a glitch its best to just restart the encounter and try again. I myself found a glitch where Joel ascended up to heaven like Jesus lolol. I was trying to climb a ladder and he just started floating up to the sky. It was humorous and not at all game breaking because I simply had to restart from the last checkpoint.

Now as far as Colin Moriarty arguing that you have to play the game 4 times to get platinum because you won't have enough supplies to make shivs for the shiv doors or fully upgrade weapons and Joel, that simply isn't true. The game always gives you enough supplies leading up to the shiv doors to make a shiv, you just have to find them and never, I repeat never use shivs on clickers when on survivor, its a waste of a shiv.

As for ugrading Joel and the weapons that is easily achievable on your 3rd playthropugh on survivor +, again I stress that you never waste your shivs because inside the shiv doors you will find 10-15 pills to upgrade Joel and 50 parts to upgrade your weapons.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, i haven't even bought it yet. Busy playing other games. But how hard is the game on the highest difficulty?

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

I found it pretty solid on normal difficulty, think i'll have a hard time trying to platinum it, dont have that much patience

It was frustrating at times because I had to change my gameplan when I tried survivor. While I was playing or the 2nd hardest difficulty I got used to just running around and wasting my supplies. I never felt a sense of urgency on Hard mode.

When I started Survivor mode which is the hardest difficulty, I immediately realized that I couldn't be so wasteful with my ammo or molotovs. Survivor mode really forced me to think like a survivor, to ration my supplies. I only allowed myself to use a certain amount of bullets for each encounter because having already completed the game I knew I would need them for my next encounters. I love that Survivor mode made me do that, if I felt that I used too much ammo I resorted to stealth only. The bow became my best friend because it was an easy way to take out opponents silently with one shot.

I highly reccomend trying the game on Survivor mode, it's a very tense, realistic experience.

Very nice how hard are those two gold multiplayer trophies.

Multiplayer was a blast for me, but I recommend you attempt those trophies with 3 of your friends rather than alone. My max population was 99, just 1 shy of 100 and even that isn't that great of a max. The reason I didn't get a population so high is because I grew impatient waiting for my friends to get off work and I attempted to finish the trophies by myself.

Well that was a horrible idea, I ended up dropping from 99 population to 28, with all of my population hungry on week 11 and I only had 1 week left until I achieved the platinum. Because the multiplayer in The Last of Us is really team centric, when I went out there without my usual team I found myself losing 5 games in a row. Now maybe you're better off than I was but I am by no means bad at the game, I just didn't have the right team. Thankfully I was able to make a comeback and I finished my final week with a fully healthy population of 56.

The multiplayer is so much easier when you have a group of friends that you can communicate with. The only reason I got to 99 population was because we were such a good team, I wasn't the best player on the team but I did my part. I was a sniper and a medic, I pumped off headshots and healed my teammates and I was good at it. Without my teammates I didn't do as well so again I strongly recommend you play with a group of friends.

I concur, Survival mode is the way to go.  I was conflicted on whether to play hard + or survival, I chose survival and can confirm that thats the right way to go.

My first playthru on hard lasted 21 hrs and 15 min, I searched almost complusively for ammo and supplies the whole time.  I still missed a ton of the collectables.  I'm about 40% of the way thru survival and am finding lots of stuff I missed.  Playing without listen mode makes the game better in my opinion.

There's a way to get all campaign trophies in just two playthroughs, just play through the game once to fully immerse yourself in the finest game this generation on any difficulty, afterwards uninstall the latest patch to get back to vanilla tlou, start a new game plus and beat the first chapter on any difficulty. Quit that game, go back to chapter select and it will allow you to select the hardest difficulty for new game plus. It's what I'm doing now so I can focus on multiplayer sooner, just to help those with time constraints
