Hmmm....so close. I'd say DriveClub looks more realistic, but Forza has a cleaner, sharper look.

Hmm normlly I value your input. But we definately disagree here. Driveclub needs alot of visual work. Draw diistance is pretty lo on detail. Pop in is too big for next gen, and the car detail is very low compared to FM5. Also the shadows are blocky and the lighting needs work. All in all FM5 is in the top 3 best visuals of cosoles at E3. Drveclub ist in my top 10. It looks like a good PSN gam not a retail game. eminds me of the quality of the downlod only title Sega Rally did this gen.

I didn't see too much pop-in for DriveClub, but just based on those vids, it had better lighting and more realistic car models. Forza looks like a higher resolution with a smoother framerate, though. I guess time will tell - DriveClub is reportedly on 35% complete. Plenty of time to sort things out. :)

Maybe I expect to much from scenery, car models and real colours from the Forza series. One of the reasons I struggle o put GT5 in my top 5 was the lack of detail in environments. Soomething Turn 10 have always done well with.

More importantly I think is that the physics seem way off in Driveclub. It looks like a NFS type game. Which means it should really be compared to Horizon or NFS as well. Its having a hard time with hands on. lot of people slating Driveclub early on. If its 35% done when is it due?

I thought it was launch. But is it not? what does PS4 hve at launch?

Yeah we've all seen the article. Keep holding on to it tho.. drive clubs still looks better.

ROFL. Driveclub looks like a PS3.5 game. Huge pop in, flat textures and low environment detail.

Here look. LOL.

Theres actually no contest. Driveclub i quite along way from FM5 in graphics. And its only 30FPS.

"For all the hubbub about the PlayStation 4′s graphical superiority to the Xbox One, Drive Club wasn’t the game to show it. While both Drive Club developer Evolution Studios (Motorstorm) andForza developer Turn 10 are both known for pushing their respective consoles to the limit, Forza Motorsport 5 wins the presentation battle pretty handily. Yeah, I actually have to give a point toDrive Club for flashier menu design systems, but in playing the game, the hand went to Microsoft. From the environmental detail to the in-cockpit dashboard reflections in the windshield, everything about Forza screamed power when a bunch of exotic cars weren’t audibly screaming their power levels."

"And while it's difficult to comment on the game's performance given its state in development (Evolution claims that the build on show is only 35% complete), it's perhaps worth noting that - at the moment, at least - DriveClub doesn't look quite how it does in the trailer. The pre-alpha build on display at E3 is quite rough around the edges, running at 30FPS with fairly flat, low-res environmental textures and underwhelming lighting. Little touches like the dashboard reflecting on the windscreen are neat, but the pixelated shadows and awkward driver animations are disappointing blights on the game's otherwise impressive cockpit view. It's something that becomes especially noticeable when you wander over to the clean, fluid and considerably more polished Gran Turismo 6 demo on display behind it - a game running on seven year old hardware, lest we forget."

This is why I suggest waiting for the games to get closer to launch before making a final call.

The point I was making was that Driveclub is being outed as this graphical killer of FM5 by Sony fans here. Or at least trying. Yet every hands on says visuals are subpar ( even prefering GT6 on PS3 ). And hands on of FM5 are full of best visuals, superb visuals etc. Even the lighting that people here say is amazing in Driveclub. But people who played it say its not great.

Microsoft deserve credit here. They showed what apparantly seemed a weaker graphical set up, and yet held there own and then some at E3.

Nah, most, reasonable, people haven't chimed in at all. You'd really be nitpicking to claim a victor this early.

I agree.

I only chimed into this thread when I saw Driveclub has better graphics than FM5. And then further claims FM5 wasnt running on Xbox One hardware. I had to post then.

@ms conference forza was the best looking game, but vid posted earlier in this thread looked like all the focus was in the cockpit. The car model on the track did not look nearly as good as it did in the menus. Forza was definitely a more polished product but the blurred scenery in the distance was dissapointing compared to what i was expecting. I dont think drive club looked better, but once its polished does seem possible. Both seem to a little ways to go though. More so drive club in terms of polish, and forza in other ways

I will permaban myself if the game releases in 2014.

in reference to KH3 release date

Honestly, I was bit underwhelmed by both Forza and DriveClub - my first impression was that F5 had some great looking, but also some very bland looking stuff, while DC seemed more at balance, but unfinished.

Ryse looked completely unexpected tbh - it really looked flat and dull, specially compared to something like inFamous and The Division. I don't think it's the tech, but rather usual Crytek's problem, their art department is not something you would write home about.

I think the gap will be bigger this time, the ps3 was never taught to be 50% more powerful than the xbox360, i expect performance boost on the ps4 and most first party exclusives will look a lot better also

lol no. On paper rarely translates to realistic application, at least for years.

Were looking at another gen of 360/PS3 graphical difference, no matter what the Dance Dance Revolution 5 gamers say.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

multiplats will mostlikly be the same, and only a few exclusive will show that the ps4 is better. this big thing sony go going for it is the price. which is 100$ less! i know a lot of people who says thats the selling point for them
