All depends on how many consoles are manufactured this year. Whoever has the most consoles will win.

That said, 2:1 by March would be more telling (and possible)

I really don't get why some people are so sure of this.  Many of my friends had 360's, and all of them are selling their 360's to buy PS4's.  In addition to that, all of my friends friends, and my brother's friends are doing the same.  

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a close race in the U.S. early on, but seriously does anything but your fanboyism make you think that is even possible?

cool story bro. So basically a lot of people making knee jerk decisions based on bad polocies that no longer exist. With 5 months to go, and with the X1 exclusives being drowned out by the bad press.....until now that is. I hardly think your friends decisions are set in stone



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Yah... I also see this as a trend. A lot of PS Signature/Avatar seem to have a "lot" if not "all" of their friends playing on Xbox 360 (and planning to switch to PS4)...
Sadly; all my Xbox 360 friends are definitely not... Unlucky I guess... Or not...

I dunno... If it merely comes down to stock availability then likely 2 to 1 at least, but i do think what else gets revealed before launch will affect holiday sales. That being said i think ms stands a decent chance now to sell as well if not better

Let's use this gen ending sales as an example of how next gen sales might go. PS3 has outsold xbox 360 for almost every year. This year PS3 is handily outselling xbox. PS did all of this with a bad launch, higher price vs. xbox, psn outage and issues, and consumer backlash with the taking away of otherOS. Now with the ps4 taking care of all of its shortcomings and with M$ in real bad light I can make a conservative prediction of ps4 outselling xbox worldwide 1.5:1 Lifetime.

Both systems will sell out, Sony will ship more so and thus sell more.
