I couldn't see them charging more since Sony's price point is $59.99.

did they officially announce that?

Difference between xbox one and ps4 is:

you can save money and share your game with 10 other people who will share theirs.

on xbox one you actually have exclusive games to buy.

on xbox one you don't have to trade games to save money.

on xbox one kids will finally not be online. Yay!!!

XBLA rarely has sales that are not DOTW, games take a year often to see a sale, games almost never get price drops.

What? XBL has sales outside of DOTW all the time. Especially over the last couple of years. Idk if you own a 360 or not but if you do I'm going to guess you don't check XBL much because wow.. that's just factually incorrect. I hope the rest of the post is better than that.

A game on Steam that released day and date with an XBLA version would drop in price after a couple months to a price lower than an XBLA sale (which takes a year, and last for 1-2 weeks at best), and the Steam version would be found even cheaper in a Steam sale.

Yikes.. it would appear it doesn't get any better. This isn't right either. Here's the thing.. Steam (and PC in general) sees waaaaaaaaaay more of the indie type titles you see on PSN/XBLA. So there are lots of sales on games like this, but the big sellers on consoles don't drop much in price other than sales and neither do the same games on Steam.

Monkey Island SE - $10 on both
From Dust - $15 on Steam, same as console
Monday Night Combat - $5 on Steam, $10 on 360
Peggle - $10 on both
Castle Crashers - $15 on Steam and consoles, years after release
Super Meat Boy - $15 on Steam and XBLA, years after release
Sonic 4 Ep 1/2 - $10 and $15 on both
Sonic 1 and 2 - $5 on both
Blacklight - $5 on both
3D Ultra Minigolf - $10 on Steam, $5 on XBLA
DOOM - $5 on both
Limbo - $10 on PC, $15 on XBLA
Plants vs Zombies - $10 on PC, $15 on XBLA
Worms 2 - $20 on Steam, $5 on XBLA (on sale for 2.50 right now)
Toy Soldiers - $10 on both
Walking Dead - $25 on both

You can sort XBLA games by sales on Xbox.com. Of the top 50, these were the ones I found on Steam. And the prices.. wow. What a completely drastic difference! Of course, that is entirely sarcasm. The games are, for the most part, exactly the same price. And some are cheaper on Steam, some are cheaper on XBLA.

XBL has had 8 years to fall in line with steam for its digital only games, it is still like it was 8 years ago.  Is clear they are never going to change.

Physical release PC games with steam activation, exact same thing XBone doing, they cost less than new Xbone games will.  Xbone is all the bad things about Steam (plus even more bad things) but none of the benefits.

Hope that helps.

Yet anyone with an Internet connection can check Steam and XBLA and see you are dead wrong. Does Steam have more sales? Yes. Are Steam sales better? Yes. Are PC games in general, cheaper than console games? Of course. Where the lulz comes into play is when people see Xbox One games launching at $60 and instantly start whining about how we were supposed to instantly see Steam sale prices or something equally silly. It takes time for these things to happen. We're already seeing it on each consoles digital platform, and this is in a time when publishers are still relying heavily on a partnership with retail. Xbox One relies less on that partnership than any other console ever. Come back in a couple years and lets see whats up then. Not going to bother replying to any more incorrect stuff from you on this matter until then so have fun with your response. Hope that helped.

Nice!

I guess not. I was looking for where they stated prices and didn't see anything. I was basing that off the fact that every site seems to have them for preorder for 59.99. They very well could change the price I suppose.
