I used to own this game and have finished it. It's good, but it's certainly not the best handheld game of all time. I think the scores were a result of the game's release window; the vast majority of GB/GBC games are pretty terrible, and seeing a game that actually showed some measure of development effort was rare.

Oh, in terms of whether it would be worth it to buy it now, I would say don't bother. It's not really the hidden gem the scores make it out to be.

I played it, its quite good, nothing extremely special. Not worth getting now unless you can get it really easy and on the cheap.
