Yeah, I think many people are currently not using their PSEye very much. But that at least partly stems from the fact that its an optional device introduced in the middle of the product's lifecycle. If it was part of every PS4 package from the beginning like Kinect is part of the XBone package, developers etc. would make much better use of the device. By making it optional, the PS4 Camera will probably not see widespread usage. Which is a pity, because being a stereoscopic camera it actually allows for some very interesting features even Kinect cannot offer (like real 3D video chat, creating 3D videos etc. - I know 3DTVs are not that widespread yet, but this will change during the next years)

In this respect, I personally really prefer Microsoft's general decision to ship the camera with the console.

Sold seperatly and No one cares. They rightfully focused on the core games and didnt shove motion controls down our throats at any point so far.
