Look, buddy. I can share my 360 games with "friends" and "family members" as long as I want, as much as I want. I don't have "limit caps" for sharing my games. Do you understand where I'm going?

You know what boddy... I think youre not seeing the picture.

If you can make designated people your "family members", you and your group of "family members" can buy 1 game and enjoy it...together, at once.

You can only share your 360 game with family members 1 at a time...catch my drift amigo?

yep, that's what i really want to know, if you can even make friends to "family members", this is better as everything people had in the past. 10 friends buying one destiny to play on 10 consoles together would be really sick. but i doubt that this works like that. but if, people should really think about the possibilities...

"You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time."

No, you can't just buy a copy of Destiny and let 10 family members play that same game with you at the same time.

While you play your game, only one other "family member" can play your game at the same time. I don't know how M$ defines a family member though in this case. Can it be anyone?

hmmm, what a terrible decision by the fools at Microsoft to make it online once every 24 hours. That is so dumb. So if I lose my internet for a few days then I guess I won't even be able to play games.

Do you own a smartphone? Yes or no...

Yes I do.

Sorry family member sharing only...

"Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: Xbox One will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friend’s house. Only now, they will see not just Forza, but all of your shared games.  You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time."

In terms of ownership and losing value, games have the worst depriciation of any product out there. Within a month usually you lose half of the value. Within a year you'd be happy to get 5 bucks for 80% of the games out there. Its definetly not an investment you should consider for any other purpose other than entertainment.

I see a slew of potentials here with this family thing that will save me and my friends lots of money. but even if it falls through, so be it, I may not buy as much. All I know is that I have ~50 bucks every week dedicated to gaming, most of which end up sitting and rotting in me Steam library or on a bookshelf.

This Xbox One absolutely changes nothing for me.

I edited my post to be more clear. I meant sharing while being able to play same game at same time and I guess there is one advantage that depending how you define your family, you can share games independently without having to transfer a disc. So that's nice. (no sarcasm there, it is nice)

But I still don't like the concept of losing ownership and/or used gaming... and your devaluation of games is off base. I do used all the time and its no where near that cheap that fast on almost any game unless it was crapware to begin with. But now, instead of buying a $60 game a couple months later for $35, it will likely only be full price at say $50.

Countless times I've bought a game used for say $35. Played it for a month or two. Then resold for like $30. Or same situation with a new game for $50 and then resold two months later for $35. There's definite value in used market for buyers and sellers, so long as you ignore Gamestop.

This does change stuff for you as it makes DRM policies accepted. Eventually it will get worse and then you'll look back and wish you said "no" in 2013.

Good catch with the phrasing... Ok so shared library with family members at the same time is a no go. Still may be possible to play "family members" games when they are not playing them which is a plus.

Anyone got any other ideas or see any other loopholes? lol

Nope, MS will use the Kinect to spy on you and make sure that the person playing is actually your family member.

"With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies."

I can still watch TV and enjoy Blu-Ray... Thanks MS! Can I go take a poo? Can I have sex with my girlfriend?

I'm just waiting on Sony now to reveal the details of how licensing is going to work for the PS4. I was really hoping Microsoft would back down on these issues.

While I know this is not ideal and may be considered jumping through hoops... your smartpphone should have a "internet sharing" feature and this internet would be based off 4G and LTE towers which hopefully have reception where you live.

So essentially when the internet does go down for more than 24 hours...which really shouldn't happen more than once every 6 months to a year in 2013...you can enable wifi sharing on smartphone and connect your xbox to verify?

Again, not saying this should be standard procedure, just something people can do in case of internet outage emergency for a long peroid of time.

I can't believe people are trying to justify this crap.Guess when you love a company, you love a company. If Sony pulls this shit,I'll buy a wiiu(I'll still buy one anyway)but I will only own one next gen.

quote someone of those people and then try to explain why something he said isn't logical at least for this person.

as example if you mean me, explain to me how the xbox one isn't better for me as what we have right now?

my points are:

1. i don't rent games

2. i only sell my used games together with the console

3. i'm always online except for few seconds from time to time

4. we will buy a few xbox consoles in my family and all of them can play all the bought games even hundreds of kilometers away from each other.

how is that not better for me as nowadays?

Hmmm, well let me quote you then.

1.You don't rent games(I want the FREEDOM to rent whenever I feel like)

2.You only sell used wih the console(I want the FREEDOM to sell as soon as I am finished with the game)

3.You're always online(I want the FREEDOM to be off or on,as my connection is not as stable as most)

4.We have a few ps3s in my family and we can also share content in between each other from miles away, nothing new.

How is now  not better than what they are offering.
