I'm personally not reading reviews for The Last of Us (I've imposed a media lock down on myself), but I know Gamespot occasionally goes against the grain. Bear in mind that they gave their 2009 Game of the Year award to Demon's Souls over Uncharted 2 (which I actually agreed with).  With that said, an 8 isn't bad at all, and regardless, the only thing that matters is how you the player feels about the game.

I'm against perfect scores. No game deserves 10/10, but...

There is already a review thread. We don't want a thread for every reviewer who didn't give the goddamn game a perfect score.

My problem is not the score, my friend. I don't agree with 10s either. But that's not the point, the review itself is the point.

So what is wrong with the review? I read it, the parts I could be bothered to anyway, saw some interesting mechanics explained, and some points brought up that would keep me from buying the game. All in all, boring read if you're not particularly interested in the game, but why does this review warrant it's own thread?
