The ability for a developer to self-publish is going to be very, very attractive. I think Microsoft might be making a bit of an error by staying away from that route. I also love how Sony is reaching out to these developers to pull games into the PSN ecosystem. The people they have running things now are on the ball.
As for the game itself, the description interests me, especially the "laid back" part. Most MMOs I've played, I've been too "casual" for, even though I've been a part of raiding guilds. I just naturally end up gravitating toward crafting and playing the market and stop signing up for raids and small team PVP. Mass PVP is still something I enjoy a lot, though.
