A discussion about boss battle music just isn't right without Shadow of the Colossus.  The entire soundtrack is amazing!  Here is one track:

This is probably the best soundtrack I've heared in any game :)

This is definitely the best. So many emotions!

The God of War games have amazing soundtrack when going against bosses, actually always lol. Play some RPG's i would say then ;)

God of war is very well produced but it isn't my musical taste. Fits the game but those tribal beats, chants and epic synths aren't my thing... Not dynamic enough for my musical taste.

I agree!  It's definitely one of the best out there.

I think Flow, Flower, and Journey are the best use of music in games that I have played this gen. Even though I could not even think of a single cord, it was great while playing, and really made the experience.

Spec Ops The Line had No Where To Run while trapped in a building on the way to the boss, that was good.

Spec Ops is on my list of games I got to play so Ill look for this tune...

Geometry Wars 2 also had a great soundtrack since the whole gameplay is like one giant boss battle. There are games last gen that still deliver the goods, but I see so many missed opportunities. DmC for one...there is no reason that game shouldn't have a better soundtrack.

well... not with Nintendo games as far as I can tell. one thing I like most about Nintendo games actually, is their amazing sountracks. some are better then others, but take Super Mario Galaxy's soundtrack. sounds like it was orchestrated by god xD same with Twilight Princess.

as for the boss battle music, they're pretty awesome too, but these songs stood out the most for me.

How about this one, it's from the Sega Mega Drive time :P

I miss the day FPSs had soundtracks like that:

IMO, current gen gaming has been completely ruined by lack of creativity and by developers going for the "cinematic feel".
