WTF, you don't even move on a grid. This looks more like a crappy Tactics Ogre game than a crappy FFT game.

That's EXACTLY what it looks like.  I mean, i COULD be wrong but it doesn't even look like you pick attacks.  Looks more like the "Attacks chosen by row" system used in Ogre Battle/ Soul Nomad and the World Eaters.

Not really related to FFT S, but anyway S-E just had a big update for FFT War of the Lions on ios. To go along with that update they are having a 50% off sale for a week. It's not a unified game, so you'd have to choose between the ipad version or the iphone version. Seems like a pretty good deal with the update. I think I might pick up the ipad version.

On the heels of its iPhone and iPod touch releases, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions comes to the iPad!

Final Fantasy Tactics was the first tactical RPG in the Final Fantasy series. Originally released on the PlayStation in 1997, the game has since gone on to sell over 1.3 million units in total. The PSP remake, "Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions" was released to critical acclaim in 2007 featuring added cutscenes, expanded storylines, and new jobs.

Now, in 2012, the battle continues on the iPad! Delve into deep strategic battle mechanics that feature tactical role-playing at its best and savor the story that put Ivalice on the map, all in their full glory on the iPad's screen.

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

It's a good update. FFT has never been this fast on any platform. I think it might be too fast, even.

The only gripe I have about this game now is the technique they've chosen for choosing facing at the end of your turn.

I wonder if there's a chance Square will give us an FFT built ground-up for touch.
