yeah we get it.

everything ms does and says is bad and stupid.

a mssive portion of your posts are in ms threads downplaying, calling out or deflecting.  why bother?

So you seriously expect 400million to 1billion consoles to be sold next-gen?

where did i say that?

i merely corrected your statement that ms said they expect to sell 1billion consoles themselves.

You did much more than that. You keep changing the subject and avoiding my question. If I'm not mistaken, that is the very definition of deflecting.

Whatever makes you feel better.  I said the same thing about 4 times.

I'm done.  This is tedious and pointless.

Yeah, you're right about that.

$3bn isn't the difference between AMD staying afloat and AMD defaulting either. It's a finite and mostly known amount of cash now so it cannot increase the value of the company either.

Considering they posted a $1b+ loss last year, no ~$6b (assuming the PS4 deal would be worth about the same) spread out over 10+ starting from ~3 years ago when development likely started on the project isn't going to do much to change their fortunes any time soon.

Bottom line is the deal helps AMD tremendously, no other way to say it.  Might not solve all their problems, but this combined with a strong APU for the laptop sector helps.  Also, revenue from production on these consoles has not started yet, so not sure what you mean about "3 years ago".  Perhaps you are referring to development NRE milestones?
