The fact that they aren't denying it is a little troubling.

Indeed, but it's a good sign that most of them responded in someway praising the fans.

Hunter X Hunter FTW!!!!

Indeed again. ^_^

By the way... it is interesting that the Sony fans feel it necessary to petition for this.

It seems incongruous with all the comments I keep hearing about Sony loving gamers and how "they'd never do this"

and from the looks of it, they won't. Obviously publishers are pushing for them to do it. Seeing the reaction the Xbox One has gotten + this new petition + the comments made on it = I'm confident Sony won't do DRM, at least on a system-wide level.

""Humbled by the outpouring of passionate PlayStation fans and their willingness to talk to us directly. Please know that we hear you. <3""

If that doesn't tell you anything, I don't know what will. Read between the lines.

Perhaps MS fans should be petitioning MS to drop there DRM instead of cheering MS on blindly and letting your consumer rights be eaten away, while Sony fans do all the work to protect them.

Or maybe ive just made a sweeping judgment about all fans as you have just done.

i predict sony will indeed use DRM in its console which would be a shame, will be even worse if its always-on

Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the console doesn't have to be online at all to work. What that means towards drm, I'm not sure. Can games be locked without having to be online at all?

Well Sony is already locking content of PS3 games for used games. If you buy PSABR, LBP Vita, Resistance 3 or a lot of other different Sony first party titles used, you have to pay an additional fee of $10 to Sony for unlocking the multiplayer.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

They did not listen when Sony was the first manufacturer ever to release online passes for their first party games.

Anyone besides me absolutely stunned that we don't have Sonys entire conference leaked yet? Usually everything is on the web by now in rumors.

Hearing and listening are two different things.

Sony: Due to immense pressure from 3rd parties, we unfortunately have to inplement DRM features. But know that we are still abou the games and share the passion of our fans.As a token of our appreciation, please download these 2 PS4 exclusives for free. On us.

Gamers: Seems legit.

___________

I can see this happening. Sony might be forced to do it but will play the victim card and give away a couple free AAA games and all would be forgiven; at least Sony wouldn't be considered the bad guy.

But Sony actually WOULD be the victim if it happend. They wouldn't be playing
