Forums - Gaming - How Microsoft Can Use DRM To Win The Battle

during my bannation lol... i thought about how microsoft can actually use their used game restrictions to win the battle.

if the developers believe that used sells hurt them and by requiring some form of drm will help better with recovering some of those loses.  wouldn't it be wise if they lowered the price of the games?  if the ps4 sold a non drm game for 60 ms could sell a drm version for 40 saving gamers $20 off new game purchases.  you could get 3 xbox one games for the price of 2 ps4 games.

sounds good in theory.  what do you guys think?

Actually yes the theory is that with DRM MS will do more "steam sales", which everyone seems to like. We shall see.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I am hoping its a possibilty. It is how steam has done it.

You should ask EA games for their opinion about lowering gameprices :p You'll probably then get 4 hour story modes and an overload of different DLC possibilities.

The whole point of the DRM is to charge the same on new games and more on used games.

I can never tell if you're joking or not when you post...

While completely killling the entire point of DRM in the process.

If that is the point of DRM then I think you missed the point of DRM.  The point of DRM is to ensure the game is used by the person who purchased it and to prevent pirating.
