Seriously though. Can anyone help me out?

Is this SSHD compatible with fat PS3's?

Seagate Laptop Thin 500 GB Solid State Hybrid Drive SATA 6Gb/s 64 MB Cache 2.5 Inch ST500LM000

If not, tell me which sshd is a perfect match.

thanks

Well its laptop HDD at 2.5". Technically it should work with the PS3.

There's a review that mentions it works for PS3 here http://www.amazon.com/review/R2RGP0VM9JH3W/ref=cm_srch_res_rtr_alt_1

Oh thanks. I was looking for a review about it and I couldn't find it lol

I thought either Gamasutra or Eurogamer's sister site did an analysis and it suggested that SSDs didn't really make a huge difference with the PS3.

I don't know all the technical details. They (Eurogamer) did run a test and find evidence that load times was decreased.

Of couse if a game is reading from the Bluray disc drive you wont see load time differences, but I assume you'll see differences in load times if the game is being run directly from the sshd instead.

In the majority of cases it didn't seem like it made all that much of a difference to me. I was honestly surprised because everything I had heard it was supposed to be fantastically faster. I understand on a PC/Laptop it can be a huge advantage.
