A long time ago I played a game called Star Trek: Starfleet Command where you control a space ship.

I was wondering if there are any games like this available today? I loved that game and wanted to play another.

Well, there's Faster Than Light. An Indie game where you have total control on your space ship, and you have to manage your crew in order to survive. You should keep an eye on that one.
