xbox 1? Yeah it will cause confusion, but not as bad as WiiU though.

i think they are both pretty bad names, the biggest confusion i think will be is the next box a media device or a gaming console.

watching that confrence i would of thought it was a smart tv hardware add on. I got a feeling microsoft might loose their core players to sony as the nextbox is one big confusion.

No way. I see your point to a small degree but this thing is all over the mainstream and social media. MS haven't even started to advertise yet either, which they'll spend billions on. Something Nintendo didn't do, or at least as well.

its only all over the media coverage right now as its fresh and exciting news, just like ps4 and wii u at the time. months after e3 the hype will decline alot and wont pick up close to the systems launch.

evan with alot of marketing and coverage, there is alot of people who are clueless and that's where the confusion sets in.

And even the Wii/U confusion has been blown out of proportion. Very few consumers don't check thoroughly before buying a $300+ product.

but they wont check thoroughly if they dont know the new product even exists. im not saying that will happen with the X1. but it certainly did happen with the WiiU. they didnt know it was a new console. so they didnt check thoroughly

It's not a great name, and could definitely cause confusion with the first Xbox. It sounds like a prequel!

I didn't like 'Wii' at first mind, but that name grew on me.

It's the casuals who will possibly be confused.
