Forums - Gaming - Next-Gen, the Market is speaking : why the Xbox One is a sure fail.

The thing is I sort of agree with Microsoft on this one.

They know most of their profits are coming from the US and Europe and maybe some from Japan. In these places I assume everyone has an Internet connection.

The thing is by doing this Microsoft are taking a very firm stand against piracy, and it might not be that bad in the long run because most of the profits are coming from regions that have an Internet connection.

While I also don't agree with how people in poorer countries can't afford to pay £40-£50 for a new game, I also hate to see hard working developers loose out because of piracy.

Not sure what the right answer is here though. I think it Microsoft should implement this in Europe, US and Japan, but in poorer countries where not everyone has an Internet connection, I think they should reconsider the issue.

The other thing is how long til the console gets hacked? Eventually that will happen, and Microsoft will fall prey to piracy anyway?
