Forums - Microsoft - Yes, Thief is coming to the next Xbox

VideoGamer

Surprise! Thief is definitely in development for the next Xbox, judging by comments made by the game's senior level artist.

Eidos Montreal's Simon Pichette states that the game is in development for "PS4 / Xbox720 / PC" on his LinkedIn profile, despite publisher Square Enix having only confirmed the game for PC, PlayStation 4 "and other next generation consoles".

Thief is the third third-party title for Microsoft's next-gen Xbox to be outed by developer CVs, following similar blunders made by two Ubisoft developers earlier this month.

Ubisoft gameplay programmer Paolo Maninetti and marketing artist Phil Brolles revealed that both Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag are headed to Microsoft's unannounced console.

Microsoft announced plans last night to host an "Xbox Reveal" event on May 21, where it will unveil its next console and introduce "a new generation of games, TV and entertainment".

VideoGamer.com has contacted Square Enix for comment.

Definitely liking the two system approach even if the system is backwards. Get a buffed up version with better graphic and what not or get last gens game and still get the same core game. Wish all companies would do this the first 2 years a system was out. Granted the 360 had Gun, American Wasteland and a few others like this at the launch of the 360.

It's just that simple.
