Super Mario Bros 3 on NES, final level and the game froze, tried again and it froze AGAIN near the end... I never went back and beat the game.

Recently, the last chase scene in AC3, sometimes the climbing/jumping mechanics in that game are just plain BROKEN!!!! FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU****!

i assume you are talking when following that guy at the end and you get onto a ship? if so then yeah it was a fucking pain

It was a pain because it was ubi's way of telling you "you're doing it wrong." =p Took me also about 20-30 min of retries until I got it right.

My biggest pain is whenever a game crashes and your save file is corrupted. It's happened for multiple games, most recently on the last mission of Sleeping Dogs and I had to replay the whole game -_-

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Being CRUSHED by my little cousins at Mario Party 7 even though I won all of the minigames. I wanted to cut the disc in pieces.

Underwater fights in Monster Hunter Tri.

Blue Shell -> Red Shell -> Thunder -> Bullet Bill Combo in Mario Kart Wii. Happened a lot.

In recent memory it was definitely the final boss in Uncharted: Golden Abyss on Crushing difficulty. SWIPING UR SCREEN IS FUNZ!!!!1 phone-style gaming is just crap, anyway, and it's even worse when the controls are as direly unresponsive as they tend to be in Golden Abyss. It was all I could do not to hurl my Vita against the wall.

Like that rock, taste good?  While not the last boss, the fight against Dante in crushing took me around 50 times so that quote is literally ingrained in my memory..  The quote itself is actually pretty good for how it's used, and amazing scene, but I didn't want to see it 50+ times all almost in a row.

That fuckin' "Chase Calita" from the broken mess that was Driv3r. Seriously, that mission is beyond salvation. You have everything against you, you don't even start the chase properly (You need to turn 180º degrees with the car) and if Calita crashes, nothing happens (She goes on escaping), however, if you do crash, you lose.

THAT FUCKING MISSION.

If this is in the last city, then this is where I quit the game.  It's like the car is on a predetermined path, because sometimes I'd do so good that I'd be right on the car, and then I'd accidently run into the back of the vehicle and then fly off somewhere, etc.

Anyways.  Answer to the ops question.  Anything I don't win at.

yeah i literally tried it about atleast 10 times. that never happened to me. on what console does that happen on?

Crystalis on the NES. For the NES, that was a very long action RPG game. Many hours were put into that one.

I was playing the final boss when my 6 year old cousin runs in and hits the power button. She was mad at her mom and for some reason thought it would make herself feel better if she made someone else mad too. Of course, that completely erases your save file.

That was 19-20 years ago and I still feel the tingle of rage creep up my spine when I think about it.

Sorry, didn't see your reply. And yes, this was in the last city of the game (Istanbul). If Calita crashed, it didn't matter. You could not exit the vehicle and then proceed to arrest her. You need to do the whole chase, from the car to the boat and then to the motorbike. However, Calita was a pro driver in that mission, and most likely the tiny, small mistake you could made (which happened a lot in previous missions and weren't as punishables as this one) made Calita go away, resulting in retrying the mission.

And yes, Calita had FOUR predetermined path. If you tried to memorize one, the game goes even more prick and then changes the path Calita chooses. And none of the paths were easy. Man, this was really a pain in the ass. For not mentioning that screwing in the boat part (Thankfully this was way too easy because THERE WEREN'T OBSTACLES) mean you retry the whole car sequence. The checkpoint only appeared when you reached the motorbikes.
