Summer of Sonic 2013 Website Goes Live

The annual fan convention Summer of Sonic has updated it’s website, and things are a bit darker than normal. In what will be the conventions 6th year a teaser site has gone live which doesn’t show us much, but there are one or two clues. Most noticably are tiny outlines of Sonic & Metal Sonic along the bottom of the site and do we need to point out the matrix style numbers in the background?

Also, if we take a look at the official Facebook & Twitter feed, things seem a bit… different? What could it all mean?


http://www.summerofsonic.com/ This, of course, looks like a teaser site for a game. But the most interesting part is the facebook/twitter feed.

Read the last line, it says 2013 reboot. Though, the game could be a cyberspace based game and that's there to just expand on it, but, it could also mean something happens that reboots the series.

In case you're curious, using a binary translater, the binary translate to "]".  (http://home.paulschou.net/tools/xlate/ Se for your self) But I'd doubt the game would be called Sonic ].

I hope so. I think this is the longest we have ever gone with a knowing about a Sonic game on the way.

My hope is run on same engine as Generations as my favorite Sonic in a long time.

Any new title will be for WiiU and new Sonic cartoon series is coming to Cartoon Network.

There were rumors of the next Sonic game being showcased at Nintendo E3 event. There has also been rumors of a new cartoon also as it was spoted on the reason of colors writer awhile back. So Im inclined to agree.

I wonder if this will be a Nintendo exclusive? When you think how well Sonic Allstars Racing Transformed sold on WiiU compared to the other 2 systems with like 75million more potential buyers each......

Would be interesting to know where all the sega fans went to after Dreamcast was killed. Mostly Nintendo?
