Perhaps I'm alone in this, but I do consider exclusive games that are ported onto another console, THEN released outside of Japan. If we were to include/exclude the huge amount of games that are/are not exclusives by including Japan, we wouldn't be able to measure all.

That's why I, for example, consider Tales of Vesperia a 360 exclusive, despite being on Ps3 in Japan. The same reason Ni No Kuni is exclusive for Ps3, despite being in the DS in Japan...because it is Japan only, right?

Not on VGChartz, because we have people from all over the world on this site, including Japan, and I was originally from Asia where I had access to Japan consoles and games easily as well, so that logic doesn't apply here. Also, DS and PS3 are not region locked unless the game does it, so technically that doesn't apply by default anyways :P.

Okay, okay ;_;

So if the OP changes the title to "PS exclusive" it will only make the list longer, with the addition of vita exclusives in '13. And sales looking forward to "Xbox" brand exclusives thread. Also comparing PS3/vita to 360/PC is genius, coz what i know is that the purpose of having same games on both the platform is to play it on the go where i left on my PS3! can i do that on 360 and PC..?

You can use that argument for anything except for localization and sales so in the end Tales of Vesperia is technically exclusive to the 360 in US and Ni No Kuni is exclusive to the PS3 in US as well. Ni No Kuni can also be considered a remake which can be a standalone game by itself unless you are saying Pokemon FireRed/Leaf Green are the same thing as Red/Blue/Green in every possible way.

Right, only we don't only have NA users on this site :P. If this was an exclusive NPD sales site, then maybe I'd go along with it, but this is a global site. I'm not too much into pokemon, do they have the exact same main story? I literally haven't played one since red and blue since the original was an excellent JRPG at the time but then they farmed the shit out of it and I don't like farmed franchiases lol.

Dynasty warriors 7 empires exclusive is pretty useless given Dynasty Warriors 8 is already coming out in July for both PS3 and 360.

It might be a global site but its a minority when you compare to the entirety of the gaming industry. You might not call those games exclusives on this forum/site but everywhere else they are considered exclusive on their respected regions and consoles.

Anyways to stay on topic I will say this though, my first 2013 PS3 exclusive I will get will be Ni No Kuni :). I'm most excited for Tales of Xillia and Disgaea D2 though.

That's totally racist :P but yeah I already got Ni no Kuni, it's a good game so definitely go for it. Unfortunately I have too many backlogs already so Tales and other JRPGs are prolly going to the backfill cheap price bin :(.

I forgot about Ni no Kuni being on the DS cause it flopped in Japan and never made it stateside for that system

Ni no Kuni sold 540.000 copies on DS and 200.000 copies on PS3 in Japan.

Maybe not a flop but the intial shipment from Level 5 was 600,000 copies, which means the system has yet to sell through the initial system. Furthermore, the DS has sold over 32 million units in Japan well more than the 9 million PS3's.

However, the games do have different titles, The DS version is turn based and ends about halfway through the PS3 story. These are just some differences that suggest it is okay for the PS3 version to be labled as an exclusive. Although I can't say I am not a little upset that we did not get our own Wizard's companion like the DS version.

Already got sly and gow but i will also be getting the last of us, beyond, ni no kuni, puppeteer, kingdom hearts. Even though guacamelee isn't on the list i will also get that.

Indeed.

I already got Ni No Kuni. I will be getting GoW:A when it gets cheaper, and I will get The Last of Us on day 1. I'm also looking into Puppeteer.

Oh yeah, I will probably get ToX, and I still have to get Graces F.
