The funny thing is, April Fools or not, this may just happen. Either way hardly a system seller.

Come on. You need to try harder than this and be a bit more creative.

This is as obvious of an April Fools' as it gets.

This isn't as bad as some of the other ones on the internet.

Also, more people would buy the joke if it were ZombiU.

It will eventually happen, but no way in hell they will announce it BEFORE the WiiU release.

Except it's being almost completly funded by Nintendo....

Yeah just like Mass Effect 1 and Ninja Gaiden 2 and what happened in the end?   As long as the platform holder is not the IP owner anything can happen with the game.

MS didn't directly fund development.  Only marketing and having paid for timed exclusivity.   With Bayonetta 2, the actual development itself is being paid for by Nintendo.  Do you really think Nintendo would fork out ~$20 million in cash to a developer without locking into exclusive rights to the game?

As for Mass Effect specifically, that IP was bought by EA a few months after the game was relased.

How is this April Fools? Thread was publisher 1 day ago and April Fools was 2 days ago......

Anyway I love how SOME Nintendo fans are making a big deal about this game being exclusive. I'm sure Bayonetta fans on PS3/360 are angry the sequel isn't coming to their console, but some of people act like they just won the lottery.

Same goes for those on the other side of the argument. It's not a big deal. If you REALLY want to play Bayonetta then consider buying a Wii U. No point in complaining especially if the game really is being funded by Nintendo.

Bravo post, VGKing.  I don't agree with you often but I certainly do here.

cause the source OP linked to was posted on April 1st?

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

U just earned "some" respect with me regarding this one.  Though I do agree with others that it WON'T sell boatloads on the Wii U; since the first one was hardly a high seller anyways. (and that was on systems with higher userbase) But it could be a system seller for others who liked the game a lot. (thus the reason why Nintendo is funding the program) I do admit that the game would sell better overall as a multi-plat, but the fact that Nintendo is FUNDING the project makes that option moot.  It's kinda' annoying and sad to see people whine over something like this when even Platinium themselves goes out of their way to let them know that this IS a Nintendo exclusive!!!

Surely April Fools, although I wouldn't bet against it eventually hitting the competitors' platforms

That wouldn't make sense seeing as how Nintendo is publishing the game. (And Sega, I'm pretty sure, said no to publishing Bayo2 before.)
