Forums - Sony Discussion - PS3 Burnout to outsell X360 in America as well?

I have to say, I was surprised to see how many more were sold on the 360, I was expecting it to be semi close at the very least.

Did this game release in japan? It may give it the edge to beat the 360 WW.

I'm disappointed by sales for both platforms. The January release really hurt this game

not really, sales were 30 k for ps3 , 70 k for 360

I think the numbers are off because they are unbelievably low for a game like this, on both platforms.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

No the numbers arent off and 360 version sold twice as much as ps3 version.

I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!

Cause you know numbers have never been adjusted before, after release week... 100k is dreadful for this game, never argued that the PS3 version would outsell the 360 version plus I own the 360 version in case you missed it... Maybe you should stop trying to come after me so hard?

In NA, 360 will have the edge.
which will sell more worldwide though?

lol, dude. I had no motive besides stating what the numbers say.

I was answering the OT, "PS3 Burnout to outsell X360 in America as well?"

My answer? No, it doubled ps3 sales and I think the numbers are right.

I disagree.  Need For Speed Pro street had the same numbers differential.

Burnout numners

Euro: 80

American: 33

NFS Pro Street

Euro: 110

American: 50

I think American's are just less enthusiastic about racing games and only really need to get one or two each a generation. (with many waiting for GT5)

While the europeon racing fan has to get them all just how FPS fans or JRPG fans buy a number of games that often just have slight differnces.

I think racing is just a secondary genre in the US, while it's a primary one in Europe.

Still these numbers are not good for Burnout, it might have legs though (popular franchise and accessible). If it doesn't then it's a flop for this game.
