So yea twist endings, and yes incase you missed it this thread will have unmarked blatent story spoilers.
I kinda called the whole Booker is her father thing but I wasn't really expecting the he is Comstock as well. The quote at the start of the game pretty well forshadowed the twist that his memories were screwed up so I never really trusted his memories and who and what he thought he was doing. Plus the nose bleed thing was a good clue that he had been pulled through a tear. Overall it was a very well crafted story with some interesting characters, tho I would have been interested to see what the original end section was like before it was decided it was too offensive.
I felt the Rapture inclusion felt a little forced, it didn't really make sense to me why they were inside rapture when all the other doors were light houses just having the Rapture lighthouse probably would have been enough tho I guess many people wouldn't have noticed.
It was interesting to find that almost everything shown in the early gameplay footage was ether greatly changed or cut. Entire sections the showed were nowhere to be seen. I can really belive that they cut enough content to make another game or two. Tho what they have left is really quite polished the only realy bug I saw was a couple of enemies standing around doing nothing in the middle of battle but that only really happened once or twice. Tho while the game is often gorgeous and some of the later areas really do look fantastic, the character models for the less important NPCs are really not very good and the NPCs all have creepy looking eyes they just look really dead and it often took me out. And some of the animation work was a bit jerky and of course there were a few low res textures and other rough elements but that is to be expected, and they really did a good job on the PC version some really great crisp textures (tho not the highest res, and there were a lot of obvious seams between textures in many places) throught the game.
So what are you guys thoughts?
