actually i see this having a bigger effect on PS mobile than PS vita, it will help all platforms of course. but i see PS mobile as the most platform to benifit from this

Yes, but since the Vita is a PS Mobile device, what I'm saying is that it gets benefits on both fronts.  And if Escape Plan was made on Unity without support, imagine how much easier it will be with official tools and documentation.

i agree. hopefully the number of games that this engine powers will grow on the Vita. low budget/indie/mobile games can help the vita a lot and this is a step in the right direction for that happening
