Well yours is thread specific. I can literally post my version in any thread about next gen and it will apply.

thats an intersting threory, but why would they make it flip up? |
It would be more convenient to look 'beyond' your controller at the TV screen than 'down' at your controller, then back up at your TV screen.
Can some kindly person please explain to me how I cut these trees down a little?
The PS5 Exists.

Maybe they just meant like.... Move as in the move controller type movement controls....
but otherwise... did everyone forget about the Sixaxis?
I mean... i wouldn't be shocked if they did.
Still.

Your thread is in fact one of the most intelligent ones around.
The PS4 and Next Xbox are both x86... This means even more games will be ported then last gen.. Not only that, but this will revive PC gaming.. PC games will be easily ported to console or vice versa..
Since its virtually guaranteed MORE games will be ported.. you'll see the quality on PC, Xbox and PS4 closer then ever !! They are all x86.. the consoles will both have mid range GPU's - despite focus on the CPU's..
The Wii U can easily do 1080p and the PS4 and Next Xbox are much more powerful - It's already been said there wouldn't be a leap in graphics next gen ( PS4/ Nextbox ) .. the leap would be in better artificial intelligence - which would make for a more real submersive game environment..
There is a lot of naïve argument about which console is most powerful, but most of the time the most powerful console never wins and it tends to launch at a higher price. Sony needs to worry about a good launch price for PS4 (if it is indeed more powerful- because it cost more to make). In x86 games are built more around the GPU then the CPU - unlike games built for the PS3 ( which had to be optimized around the cpu 'Cell' and this cost more money that most studious weren't willing to spend )..
Much of the focus has been on what CPU's the PS4 and Nextbox will have and differences.. but Ive read both will have close to pretty much the same mid range GPU's; since x86 games tend to be graphically limited by GPU's ( Graphics cards in PC's ) the talk about CPU's is mostly posturing... Both systems will have much more bandwidth then todays systems ( which of which todays system hold up very well considering their age ).. Both systems will easily do 1080p at high frame rates..
Summary: Games will be ported more next gen, games will be closer in quality between system & PC.. Even the Wii U's games ( the multiplatform titles ) will look very close graphically to xbox and PS4 versions - all system easily do 1080p..
The only thing that will separate consoles are cool gimmicks that could actually turn out to be useable and well liked features - the problem is with everyone arguing about specs - most of us can't guess what's really in store for great new innovations.. there may be none or less then we think..
Games will be better - but mainly in Artificial Intelligence and vastness of game worlds due to 8 GIGS OF RAM and better hardware..

you seem to be completely forgetting about 1st party games. Most games that can be ported have been this gen.

depends what candy. If it's anything with mint I'm out. If it's 3 Musketeers I'll spend...999 US dollars. I also heard they don't let you trade or sell the candy in your DS4 to anyone else. |
hershey kisses. and sony denied that rumer. used candy sales are allowed, but they recommend not to, because nobody wants to eat chocolate that somebody already chewed

we better stop this before Kotaku catches wind and puts it up as "multiple sources confirm candy in DS4"

Specs don't matter is different than saying the cheapest console wins. You have the case of the Dreamcast and Turbografx 16, both which were the weakest in their generations, failing miserably to their competition. The thing is there is so many other factors at work, that there is no guarantee that specs alone win anything.

And if the Wii U fails to get the content that the PS4 and next Microsoft console get, then why would the Wii U be king? It is back again to Nintendo not getting third party support. The big deal would be a lack of RAM and if games code to it, you end up with PC, PS4 and Next Microsoft console and no Nintendo.
