Get PS3 now and you could get PS4 next year. Better year get it next Black Friday and save for it after you picked up the PS3.

There are people here who didn't like the story of John Marston? 0_0 Blasphemy ... Great gameplay aside, that was the first game this gen to move me because of the story. Ace game ....

i dont know, because people simply wont talk about it. yet they are willing to rant about exlusives all day long. and i agree, i actually been planning to make a thread about red dead and my experience with it for quiet a while now, but i keep getting to lazy to do so

Go for that PS3. The library of games it has now is fantastic, and new games will still keep coming for the next two years in all likelihood.

Wow ... you know there are games you play to pass the time, others just for the fun of it, and then there are games like RDR that sink you into the experience. Previously every other MGS game did that for me, but even MGS4 didn't get me to feel that way. I think that game had the biggest impact on me this gen. RDR has a lot of great themes in it, and I enjoyed it more than EVERY GTA game. Ace game ... just ace ... .

And the theme about redemption and what he had to do to get certain people protected. Very powerful ....

If you want to play ps3 games then get a ps3.

edit: Yeah waiting for updates on ps3 sucks, but Demons Souls, Uncharted 2, God Of War 3, Killzone 2, MGS4 and Valkyria Chronicles are all worth it. 

Plus the last of Us looks to be amazing. Any PC gamer should have more than enough patience for a couple of patches.

as slimebeast said, its just a masterpiece. its a true epic example at what video games can be. any one who claims story isnt important in video games clearly hasnt played red dead redemption. if i were to chose a game of the generation, i think i would chose RDR
